To make the students feel the pressure of the college entrance examination, Director Wang and others arranged the exam room in the same way. Students from No. 1 High School went to Wuzhong High School to take the test, while Wuzhong students came to No. 1 High School.

The gates of No. 1 High School and Wuzhong were usually locked. Students couldn’t leave, and outsiders couldn’t enter. Although the two schools were opposite each other, this was Jiang Ning’s first time at Wuzhong.

Wuzhong’s campus was similar to No. 1 High School’s, if not older. No. 1 High School had at least one large dormitory built in recent years, but Wuzhong’s dormitories were all quite old.

Before entering the exam room, they couldn’t help but be drawn to the performance rankings on Wuzhong’s bulletin board. The top three students even had their two-inch photos displayed separately.

As they looked at Wuzhong’s rankings, Wuzhong students were looking at theirs over at No. 1 High School.

Wuzhong students, much like their teachers, had always believed their school was the best in Wucheng. As a result, they didn’t pay much attention to the students of No. 1 High School, except for the top few. After all, those students had been among the top in the high school entrance exams and had been recruited by No. 1 High School.

As for those at the bottom of the top ten, they didn’t bother to look at them, so they just glanced at the names of the first few people.

Jiang Hehua was also looking at the performance rankings on the bulletin board of No. 1 High School. Like many people in Wuzhong, she didn’t really take the people in No. 1 High School seriously.

Her grades had always been very good since she was a child. When she attended Linhe Primary School, her grades were always among the top three in her class. When she entered junior high school, she continued to rank among the top ten in her grade. And after arriving at Wuzhong, her grades remained strong, placing her in the top thirty of her grade, and occasionally in the top twenty.

The two bulletin boards of No. 1 High School were positioned on either side of the main entrance to the teaching building. To reach the examination room, they had to walk past these two bulletin boards. Jiang Hehua had glanced at them casually, but she didn’t expect to see a name on the rankings that would surprise her.

She was startled.

Was Jiang Ning really doing well?

Jiang Hehua recalled Jiang Ning’s achievements throughout the years.

Jiang Ning had always been two or three years younger than her classmates and had even started school at the age of three or four. This made her the youngest in her class, often seated in the first row. The other students were much taller than her, and they never included her in their games, whether they were playing with rubber bands or skipping rope.

She was simply too young.

The age gap meant that Jiang Ning’s comprehension skills were far behind those of her older classmates. Her grades were never outstanding, but they weren’t terrible either. In a class of over seventy students, she was largely invisible, blending into the crowd like a transparent person.

Jiang Hehua and Jiang Ning were never particularly close. They, along with Jiang Qinqin, were the only three girls in their village still attending school, and the villagers would inevitably compare the three of them. Jiang Ning and Jiang Qinqin, who also didn’t have remarkable grades, spent more time together.

Occasionally, Jiang Ning and Jiang Qinqin would come to play with Jiang Hehua, but she would usually be studying at home and rarely went out. In junior high, Jiang Hehua was placed in the key class, while Jiang Ning and Jiang Qinqin were in the ordinary class.

When Jiang Ning was accepted into No. 1 High School after the high school entrance exams, Jiang Hehua had been quite surprised.

Although No. 1 High School wasn’t as prestigious as Wuzhong, it was still a well-known key high school in Wucheng. She had expected Jiang Ning to end up in No. 2 High School at best. Jiang Qinqin hadn’t continued to high school and had instead gone directly to No. 1 College.

So, seeing the little “transparent” girl from her memory ranked in the top ten at No. 1 High School felt surreal, almost laughable, making her wonder if she had made a mistake.

After all, there were many people with the surname Jiang.

Could it really be the same person?

She looked again at the score beside Jiang Ning’s name—it was over 600 points.

The score was incredibly high. Even Jiang Hehua, in her usual exams, didn’t reach such a score.

Maybe the tests at No. 1 High School were easier, she thought, turning away and entering the examination room.

As the students from Wuzhong entered No. 1 High School, the students from No. 1 High School made their way to Wuzhong.

Both schools had students who lived on campus. At No. 1 High School, the teaching and office buildings were located near the school gates, while deeper inside the campus were the cafeteria, girls’ dormitories, staff apartments, and boys’ dormitories.

Jiang Bai, wearing a set of clothes that Jiang Ning had styled for him, walked through the crowd.

He emerged from the boys’ dormitory in the innermost faculty apartment area, making his way past the football field, basketball courts, girls’ dormitories, cafeteria, and teaching building.

Despite the crowd, despite the many boys walking around, Jiang Bai seemed to stand out as if a ray of light shone upon him, separating him from the others.

After many days of holding his head high, walking with a straight back, and getting enough meat and nutrients, his height had shot up again. He was now 1.81 meters tall. His skin was fair and smooth, with shiny lips and a healthy complexion. His eyebrows were cold, and his demeanor calm. Among a group of students dressed in darker, cooler tones, he looked like a handsome boy who had stepped straight out of a movie.

The students of Wuzhong really didn’t want to be embarrassed in front of the students of No. 1 High School.

After all, Wuzhong and No. 1 High School were sworn enemies. Wuzhong students considered themselves first-class and didn’t take No. 1 High School seriously. However, they couldn’t help but notice one student.

“That person is so handsome, right?”

Those clothes looks ordinary, but why did they seem so fashionable on him?

“Look at him. Doesn’t he look like a Hong Kong star?”

“Who is he?”

“Is he also a student at No. 1 High School?” Some girls asked quietly among themselves.

“I don’t know, never heard of him.”

Students from Wuzhong and No. 1 High School rarely interacted.
