Ouyang Yu came over and looked at the words on the paper.

He smiled. “Child, everything has a cause and effect. Since you sowed this, the fruit has to be accepted by you.”

Lin Meng bowed her head. Yes, this was what she should bear, only five years too late. But she did not want to… instead she had wanted to start with a stranger and have no involvement with him. Now, she merely wished for a simple life. With him, her life wouldl never be calm. She really didn’t want to owe him anymore.

“Even if you don’t think about yourself, think about Huai’an. He is still small, no one will doubt, but in the future? His life, the incidents that happened three years ago, are under the cover for now. It’s a ticking time bomb that you are holding. No wall in the world can hold secrets.”

‘This child thinks everything is too simple. She should think of the future.’

Lin Meng’s hand went numb, and the pen fell on the paper. He knows everything…

No wonder they didn’t recognize Jun’an because he knew his identity.

“Although Ah Jun is dead, those people will not stop. They will find you sooner or later, and they will find the identity of Huai’an. If one day they know, Huai’an will have no way to live. In Gu family, even if they find you, they won’t dare to touch you. At least in this country, no one dares move against their family.”

– I didn’t pursue the previous things. Didn’t they let us go? –

“You should know better than anyone else. Who are these people? They are determined to find you. How can they let you off easily, especially Huai’an?”

Huai’an was living evidence. If they knew, how could they possibly leave him behind?

Lin Meng’s hand shook, she wanted to write something, but her mind went blank. She never thought of this problem. After Jun’s death, those people had never appeared. In the past few years, when she was been hiding in Tibet with Huai’an, she never met them. She thought things had changed.

Would they pursue her to the end?

“Xiao Meng, you are a smart child. You decide. If you don’t want to, we won’t force you. It’s too late, go rest.”

He left Lin Meng alone in the study.

Lin Meng dropped the pen, standing alone at the desk, looked at the words in front of her.

Jun died, things ended. How can it be so simple? She was hiding in Tibet. Came back to Ouyang family to give Huai’an a safe life.

Although, the Ouyang family has some prestige, it is only a scholarly family. How can they compete with those forces? Was there no other way?

‘Huai’an, what should I do?’ She can’t let anything happen to Huai’an.
