Of course, Wen Renyu never doubted that all this had nothing to do with him, whether it was the relationship with his fiancée or the child in Yu Sheng’s belly.

Therefore, sometimes Ghost Yu would feel sympathy for Wen Renyu. If he fell into Yu Sheng’s hands, he would probably not have a good ending.

“Look, didn’t you originally want to make Wen Renyu like you by retreating to advance? Why are you so aggressive now?” Ghost Yu asked, very depressed.

She thought that since Yu Sheng had already decided to take that path, then if she played the pitiful role, accidentally revealed the news of her pregnancy, and then pretended to have an abortion, Wen Renyu would be moved and feel guilty, and it would not be impossible for him to marry her.

Upon hearing that, Yu Sheng couldn’t help but become cold and said, “Are you and I the kind of people who can act like this?”

Ghost Yu: “…”

Yu Sheng’s words really left her at a loss for words. If the two of them could do this, she wouldn’t have lost so badly.

“Besides, I only have a good attitude when I don’t have many chips in my hand and I am not sure of winning.”

“Since I have such a trump card in my hand, why should I put myself in the position of a weak person? Does Wen Renyu have any other choice?”

Definitely not. Of course, the premise was that Yu Sheng relied on the fact that Wen Renyu was not really a cruel and ruthless man. Wen Renyu had been using his time to relieve his emotions recently. It was really like one thunder had just calmed down and another thunder had risen.

He didn’t realize that his mind was revolving around Yu Sheng, and he had very little time to think about Yang Sui. Or maybe, in the situation, he also wanted to start escaping, so he deliberately didn’t think about Yang Sui.

Wen Renyu was indeed in a dilemma. He didn’t want to give up the woman he really loved, but he couldn’t be cruel enough to make Yu Sheng abort the child. Especially when he thought that all of it was done by Yang Sui’s friends—was it really true that you get what you sow?

Wen Renyu didn’t sleep all night. The next day, he looked very haggard, with dark circles under his eyes. It was the first time that the man who had always been full of vigor and vitality looked so frustrated. However, Wen Renyu did make a choice.

He took a deep breath, suppressed the pain in his heart, and then began to wash up, suppressing his abnormal expression. Wen Renyu went to ask Yang Sui out, and unlike the joy in the past, Wen Renyu now felt heavy in his heart, because he was going to break up with her.

Since Yang Sui met Wen Renyu last time, she felt much more at ease because he still liked her, and from his expression and behavior, she could not tell how much he liked Yu Sheng.

However, Wen Renyu’s protection and trust in Yu Sheng still made Yang Sui very unhappy. Recently, Fang Fang’s family had also been much better. They all thought that Wen Renyu helped and were very grateful to him.

In fact, it was only because of Yang Sui’s pleading that Wen Renyu softened his attack on Fang Fang’s family. Now that he was about to be forced to marry Yu Sheng, Wen Renyu was determined to drive Fang Fang out of the city once and for all and to prevent her from getting in trouble with Yang Sui in the future.

“Xiao Sui, when Fang Fang was working part-time at a banquet venue, she accidentally offended a young lady, and she threatened to bankrupt Fang Fang’s family.” Wen Renyu explained this to Yang Sui, who thought that with Fang Fang’s outspoken personality, it was indeed not impossible.

“This young lady’s family has a background in the underworld, so it’s not easy to confront her head-on. I think we should let Fang Fang’s family move to the next city. I will take good care of them,” Wen Renyu advised Yang Sui.

His words did indeed shake Yang Sui. The underworld background was indeed scary. What if the other party did something terrible? Wen Renyu was actually very smart—one could tell from how he handled the Fang Fang incident. However, he was indeed too naive.

In fact, Wen Renyu hadn’t talked about the main business yet, but seeing Yang Sui’s melancholy, he was distressed. However, short-term pain was worse than long-term pain. Since he had made a decision, he must give Yang Sui an explanation and couldn’t delay her.

A hint of pain flashed in Wen Renyu’s eyes. He clenched his fists but still said, “Xiao Sui, let’s break up.”

These few short words seemed to have exhausted all of Wen Renyu’s strength, and his face looked very ugly after he finished speaking.

“You, what did you say?” Yang Sui looked at Wen Renyu in disbelief, her face pale. She was waiting for him to say that he broke off the engagement so he could get together with her openly.

But Yang Sui never expected that Wen Renyu actually wanted to break up with her. Sure enough, these rich kids were just playing around—was she the only one who took it seriously?

Wen Renyu avoided Yang Sui’s gaze. Her appearance made him distressed. Wen Renyu was afraid that he would be soft-hearted.

“I’m getting married to Yu Sheng.” Wen Renyu told Yang Sui the news.

He believed that she had the right to know and did not want her to hear the news from others.

Yang Sui’s heart ached. She had never thought that the person she loved so much would give her such cruel news. However, Yang Sui’s self-esteem was always strong, which prevented her from crying and trying to keep her lover.

She tried to suppress the discomfort in her heart, but her tone became increasingly cold, “Really? Congratulations, I know myself well and I won’t burden you.”

However, no matter how much Yang Sui restrained herself, her words still revealed a hint of resentment.

If it was any other time, Wen Renyu would have hugged Yang Sui to comfort her, but now he could do nothing. Wen Renyu moved his lips, but in the end he still didn’t say those words.

After a long time, Wen Renyu said, “I wish you happiness!”

After that, Wen Renyu stood up and left quickly, as if he could no longer bear it. That was indeed the first time Yang Sui watched Wen Renyu leave. She could no longer control herself and swept everything on the table away, lying on it and crying.

Yang Sui cried uncontrollably. Sometimes she would deliberately show her vulnerability in front of Wen Renyu in order to achieve her goals, but she didn’t want to do that at the moment. That was her last bit of dignity.

After Wen Renyu left, he went to find Yu Sheng. He should be responsible for her, so he made up his mind to marry her.

In fact, Yu Sheng was not surprised by his decision, but she did not expect him to be so decisive.

“Xiao Sheng, let’s get married.” Wen Renyu looked at Yu Sheng with burning eyes. Yu Sheng was actually not moved when she heard it, but Ghost Yu was too excited.

“Get married? Have you really decided?” Yu Sheng asked him coldly with her arms crossed. That was not what Wen Renyu had imagined. Shouldn’t Yu Sheng be happy?

However, Wen Renyu thought again that if it weren’t for the pregnancy, Yu Sheng’s attitude towards their marriage would have been indifferent. So her attitude was normal.

In fact, there was another important factor that prompted Wen Renyu to make up his mind to marry Yu Sheng — that was, Wen Renyu thought Yu Sheng loved children very much. In their circle, children were bargaining chips. Mr. and Mrs. Wen certainly loved Wen Renyu, but this was based on the fact that he was a son and an excellent heir. Wen Renyu had always seen it very clearly.

Perhaps it was because he saw too clearly that he hated this circle so much, and he longed for normal human emotions. Yu Sheng was also aware of these rules, but she would use them to her advantage and thrive in that circle. That was the difference between her and Wen Renyu.

Wen Renyu didn’t want his marriage and children to be mixed with complicated interests rather than love. Yu Sheng clearly didn’t want to marry him, but in order to give birth to this child, so that the child would have a father and a normal family in the future, she still forced him to marry.
