Apocalypse Arrival - Chapter 1
In the doomsday, would it be the demon that descended from the sky that would destroy mankind, or the demon buried in the heart of humans?
“How is the situation?” Chu Qianxun asked.
“No problem,” a man’s voice came from the bottom of the car.
Chu Qianxun made a tick on the record card in her hand, “Motor oil? Brake fluid?”
After the front cover of the car was opened, a greasy hand stretched out, making an ok gesture.
A voice came from the chaotically modified off-road vehicle, “It works.”
Chu Qianxun bent down to measure the tire pressure, and carefully checked the condition of each tire.
It had been ten years since the end of the world. They could still rent a car in the camp, which was considered good.
The inspection before departure couldn’t be overstated.
When chased by those demons, a car with superior performance was likely to save the lives of a group of people.
Chu Qianxun stood up and closed the notebook.
She looked tired. Her hands were greasy and skinny.
Long-term hunger and fatigue made her look more than ten years older than her actual age.
She was numb and sluggish like most people who survived in this doomsday. Most of the survivors in the past decade have worked hard, but they were more eager to live than ever before.
In order to live as long as possible in this world where demons were rampant, everyone was trying their best to survive.
“We will rent this one, Ji BoJi Bo,” Chu Qianxun respectfully held a bag of grain, and said to the old man sitting on the sidelines and flipping through the newspaper.
Yes, the newspaper.
In this era when various modern communication facilities had lost their functions. Newspapers had once again become one of the important means to obtain information.
Ji Bo, who was sitting at the parking lot, didn’t look up. He flipped a page of the newspaper, and signaled that it was okay.
There were a few bold lines on the front page of the newspaper,’City A fell, and the city of 10,000 people turned into a cemetery of yellow sand overnight!’
The existence of Shura (devil) brought the death of mankind!
A man more terrifying than a demon- Ye Feitian!
Chu Qianxun sighed in her heart. It was the devil again. How many people did he kill?
Fortunately, city A was far away from here.
“Okay, get out, get in the car,” she knocked on the car, indicating her companion under the car to come out.
The answer to her was silence.
“Ah Wu? Xiao Chen?” Chu Qianxun felt a bad feeling in her heart.
A pool of bright red blood quietly flowed out of the ground under the car.
A pair of glowing red eyes appeared in the shadow behind the wheel.
Chu Qianxun’s pupils contracted, and she bounced back several meters away.
She clenched her fists suddenly, and the air on her hand began to compress rapidly, forming two crescent-shaped wind blades.
A sigh-like voice sounded in the night.
The voice seemed to be the most tender and sweet, with a very strange trembling, just like talking in Chu Qianxun’s ear, “Oh, it’s been a long time since I ate a young woman.”
The blood-red eyes moved from the bottom of the car to her side in an instant.
Chu Qianxun’s hair stood up all over her body.
A strong sense of fear caught her.
She was done, she thought. It was too strong.
Even though her life was difficult, she really wanted to live longer.
This was the last thought that flashed in Chu Qianxun’s mind before death.
Human civilization had been destroyed for ten years, and the night in the camp was usually primitive and silent.
Chu Qianxun hadn’t heard such a noise for many years.
The cars’ noise in the distance, the sound of pattering on the keyboard, the girls giggling, the background music on TV, the English words repeatedly recited…
The faint, distant and near sounds mixed together, made her very restless in sleep.
Chu Qianxun opened her eyes at once.
She got up abruptly, held her palms on the edge of the bed, and turned over from the top bunk with a beautiful somersault.
With one hand propped on the ground, with toes ready to go, Chu Qianxun watched the surroundings vigilantly.
She was both surprised and suspicious. The movement she did just now made her feel the weakness of this body.
Just turning over from a two-story bed made her soles and palms a little painful.
Chu Qianxun realized that she wasn’t dead, but she lost her strength and was in a strange environment.
This place looked like a dormitory with bunk beds.
The upper bunk was like a sleeping berth with curtains.
To Chu Qianxun, this room was vaguely familiar.
A disheveled head came out of the cartoon bed curtain on the upper bunk, and Chu Qianxun’s eyes were directly facing her.
The two stared at each other for a moment.
The person’s voice was so familiar, “Chu Qianxun, why did you suddenly jump from such a height, want to scare me to death?”
Chu Qianxun remembered that this was the monitor of her college, Han Xuan.
However, Han Xuan died ten years ago. She died in front of Chu Qianxun’s eyes.
Chu Qianxun turned her head blankly and looked out of the window.
The windows of the dormitory were facing the gate of the school.
There was a lot of traffic on the street outside the door, and a few horns came in from time to time.
A few boys on bicycles flew past under the willow tree inside the school gate.
Under the tree, there was a couple who didn’t know which major they were, were holding hands and talking sticky words of love.
On the desktop in front of the window, the computer screen that had never been turned off was flashing blue light.
The time was clearly displayed on the screen-
March 17, 20xx
Chu Qianxun found herself back before the end.
There were still five days left before the demon descended.
