Daddy is the Big Boss - Chapter 37
Chapter 37 – Shan Abode
Chen Daiyu arrived at the bottom of the stairs to a small hallway with a door at the end.
She walked up to it to see a little inscription above that read ‘Shan abode’. The guilt and sadness hit her again, she could imagine Shan Yijun’s mother planning and building this place carefully for her son.
Shaking her head, she looked at the number board, awaiting for her to input a password.
Thinking about what she understood of this place, she dialed in her cousin’s birthdate and was slightly surprised that it actually worked.
When she walked in, a bunch of screens lit up. Walking down the middle, straight to the biggest one, she looked up to who she could only assume was Shan Yijun’s mom. There was a video of her on screen.
“YIJUN! I am so excited you are finally here. Welcome to your own little space. Your dad and I have always wanted you to join us in the military, and this whole quest you have been on was the start! Not only from the various painting i made for you, but the letter you got on your birthday. From here on you can start learning more in depth about decoding various military codes, how to use weapons, strategy. Anything you can think of! We basically stacked up everything for you here.
Your grandfather will help with marital arts.
Your dad and I are always proud of you, look around you’ll find a bunch of resources for you to learn, we’re outside the door waiting for you! I can’t wait!”
The video finished and the screen changed to a text saying “Happy Birthday Yijun!”
Chen Daiyu’s existence in this novel had never been so real to her. Not even in the various moments she was in danger. To her, Shan Yijun’s mom was always just a character that died, but seeing her on screen, seeing her take care of her son. Unbeknownst to her, she would die soon.
Her death in the novel was brushed over, one line in the sea of violence. But Chen Diayu had seen how her death had affected her family. Shen Yijun and his father didn’t talk, she could sometimes hear him crying from her room.
Her death was so … real.
As far as she knew, her uncle, Shan He, was currently planning his useless revenge, leading to her cousin’s blackening and death. Then the demise of her dad and grandfather.
The demise of her family.
Looking around she felt gratified, the novel never mentioned a place like this, but it was everything she needed.
She could learn more about the world of this novel and how the various technologies were different.
Looking around the room she found a big library full of military war techniques and technology books, even a few other topics that would be useful. Another room was full of different weapons. But her focus was on the level of the technology. Everything was much more advanced than anything she had seen during her previous life, she would have to learn how to use everything properly.
She looked through the various computers and found them full of databases that could be used to find weak points for the Du family.
This was everything she needed.
Looking through the consoles, she was surprised to see a note she hadn’t noticed before.
After a bit of doubt she decided to read it.
Dearest Yijun,
This was supposed to be a big gift for you to use as you please, but I’m afraid that when we do show it to you, you’ll have to help us hunt down the Blood Sucking Vendetta’s boss. Your father and I will be going on an expedition soon to see if we can take a main branch down, I’m sure we’ll be fine. Though in case anything does happen to us, I am sure your uncle and grandfather will take over your education.
I leave this note here in hopes that I will come back and you’ll never have to read it,
I love you to the moon and back,
Your mom
Chen Daiyu was surprised, she touched her cheek and found it was wet. She could imagine Shan Yijun’s mom writing this before the expedition, not knowing she would die. Not knowing her dad and son would be estranged because of this. Her family would eventually die.
Looking up at all the resources she was luckily left with, she stayed in the computers. Learning everything they had and how she could use them. She looked up people she knew would be a Du family pawn and flagged them, even future pawns she could cut off before they became a threat.
Before she knew it, the sun had risen and she needed to go back to her room.
She hid the letter in a drawer, took the leaf key, placed everything where it was before and left. She took a few books with her to study in her free time.
Looking back at the hill, she realized that the flowers had bloomed. She smiled sadly and decided to show them to her cousin as soon as he woke up.
Back in her room, Chen Daiyu looked at her bed longingly, but resisted the temptation to lay down and went to her cousin’s room after getting cleaned up.
She took him out to the garden and was glad when she saw his overjoyed face when he saw that his never blooms had bloomed.
“I guess I’ll have to change their names now.”
“A maybe blooms?”
“Hmmm-“
“Young masters, master Chen Feng is back. You should head to the living room.”
Chen Daiyu immediately looked up and immediately ran off without her cousin and the nice maid that had come to tell them.
She slowed down at the door, but couldn’t hide the excitement in her eyes.
Once she got to the living room, she ran again to hug her father, who was caught by surprise by the sudden action. He was frozen by the sudden show of affection from his stoic daughter.
He smiled and lifted her up to carry her in his arms. He was surprised by the eye bags and chastised her.
“Did you stay up late waiting for me?”
Chen Daiyu blushed at the teasing.
“You shouldn’t stay up late!”
All his exaggerated remarks were not taken seriously. Everyone in the living room laughed at their wholesome interaction and Old Man Shan that had been chatting with his son looked very happy.
“I have your gift!”
Chen Feng motioned at one of the maids nearby, who brought in a big box.
When Chen Daiyu looked in confusion making Chen Feng laugh.
“I promised you a gift.”
He let her down from her arms and looked at her expectantly. Chen Daiyu walked carefully towards it. It was almost as tall as her. She carefully took the top off and was surprised by a giant teddy bear.
She took it out with a lot of effort and found a few more boxes under it. Taking one out she found cotton candy, which she now remembered she had asked for.
Feeling quite happy about being remembered and taken care for, Chen Daiyu beamed up at her dad, running back into his arms.
“Thank you very very much! I love the teddy. I’m gonna name it Dusty.”
“Dusty?”
“Yes.”
Chen Daiyu nodded and didn’t explain any further. Relishing that her father was back and how lucky she was to have a family.

Eu não sei se foi legal, agora eu realmente sinto culpa, eu sei que vai ajudar a FL, mas não acho que ela deveria esconder isso tudo da pessoa que realmente e dono destas coisas, e pedir permissão para usar. (ーー;)
