To make He Yu regret - chapter 49
The uncle’s upper wore a gray and old T-shirt, and the lower attire was torn at some parts. In line with his rough image, he looked like a broke man who had just entered the city. They perform duties mainly to prevent strange people from entering the campus. The student frowned and asked him, “Who are you looking for?”
He answered fluently, “Jiang Xiaozhen, from Class Four of first year.”
He checked the student list of class four and indeed he found the name. The students’ attitude towards the uncle got a little better, “What do you want with her? If it’s a gift, you could give it to us.”
“I have something important to tell her.”
He was unclear, and the student’s vigilance came up again, “Who are you to her?”
“This…” Uncle hesitated, “Do I have to say it?”
“It must be said.”
He lowered the umbrella and lowered the volume inexplicably, “I’m her father.”
That felt even stranger. He asked him, “Can you tell her that after school is over?”
The uncle shook his head, “I can’t stay for too long, I’ll leave after talking to her.”
The student thought for a while, then turned around to discuss a few sentences with his companion on duty, and came to reply to him.
“Parents of our school couldn’t go in. Well, you wait for me at the door, and I’ll call your daughter out.”
“Okay, thanks for your hard work.” The uncle thanked him and stood by and waited. The boy on duty ran to class four very quickly. The class hasn’t started yet, the classroom was noisy, ”I don’t know who Jiang Xiaozhen is.”
So he knocked hard on the front door and yelled, “Is Jiang Xiaozhen there? Your father is waiting for you at the school gate. He has to go out and wants to tell you something.”
A big figure in front of him stood up. The chubby girl in fancy dress squeezed her seat, rushed over at a fast speed, and pushed him out of the classroom. The whole class watched as it was such an unusual thing to happen.
Jiang Xiaozhen wanted to send him away as soon as possible, pushing him and saying, “Don’t yell, that’s not my dad.”
“Huh?” He turned around and was unable to understand what she said, “You haven’t seen him, do you know it’s not your father?”
“Yeah!” She categorically said, “You let him go quickly.”
“This one…”
He was at the school gate. Jiang Xiaozhen said that he didn’t know him, so how would he, a student on duty, reply to that uncle?
The boy on duty scratched his neck and had to go to the back door to ask the captain of their duty team. He Yu and his gang began to listen to his report on the situation, and he already had a solution in his mind, until he said the name of the student, “Jiang Xiaozhen, from class four of first year.”
“Jiang Xiaozhen? Is that the fat girl in the princess dress?” Zhang Shiyu didn’t miss the keywords either.
The student on duty nodded, “Yes, what you described fits well.”
Zhang Shiyu winked at He Yu. He didn’t bother to care about him, and stuffed the duty book in his arms.
“You stay here, I’ll go to the front door to deal with it.”
“Okay, good,” Zhang Shiyu promised happily, “You can rest assured.”
He Yu didn’t find Jiang Yuan at first sight.
He asked the boy on duty, “Where was that parent?”
He helped him point it out, “Over there.”
A middle-aged man with a rickety back and ragged clothes. In heavy rain, his existence was like a piece of mold growing on the wall. Even if He Yu faced him face to face, he didn’t dare to recognize that the person was Jiang Yuan.
“I remember that Uncle Jiang, who opened the big restaurant, had a hearty laugh and a loud voice. He was always in suits and leather shoes, combs his greasy hair, and looked vigorous and shrewd all year round.”
The only moment the father could do nothing was when he met the jewel of his family. As soon as the little princess shed tears, he panicked and ran over and always coaxed softly, “Mingzhen don’t cry, what you want, dad will buy it for you.”
Falling from the clouds into the mud was nothing more than the case. At that moment, he squatted on the ground. The man had a gloomy look, he looked at the passers-by on the opposite side, he was licking cigarettes.
He Yu didn’t go to say hello, he turned his head and went to the teaching building where class four was located. Unlike the student who was on duty before, he knew who Jiang Xiaozhen was, but he couldn’t call her out of the classroom without disturbing others.
“Senior He Yu is coming to our class!” Someone saw He Yu in the hallway as he approached class four and everyone stood up from their seats and waited at the door.
Jiang Xiaozhen had an ominous premonition when she heard everyone mention He Yu. Her premonition came true. He stood outside the classroom, saw her precisely, beckoned her to come out.
Sun Qin took the initiative to give way to Jiang Xiaozhen. She had to go out, facing the curious eyes of the whole class. He Yu walked ahead, Jiang Xiaozhen followed him.
