To make He Yu regret - chapter 27
She finally figured out a way. Every Friday, Jiang Mingzhen’s mother would bring things to the school so that Jiang Mingzhen could distribute it to her classmates and build a good relationship with them. Since all the people around Jiang Mingzhen became ‘traitors’, no one dared to take the things she brought to school. It was like that last week. Her table was full of delicious foods, and everyone watched her eat them alone.
At first, Jiang Mingzhen showed off her face after she ate, bathed in the envy of everyone. Gradually, there were fewer people who watched her, and her face began to look bad. Naturally, one person couldn’t finish everything, after all, Xu Meiyin prepared the amounts enough for one class. The rest of the snacks were all put into her cabinet. It was lunch time, during the lunch break, the children would take a nap under the supervision of the aunt.
There were very few people who actually sleep. Everyone usually plays with the toys they hide in the quilt, or fight with the classmates next to the bed, but they all had to do it secretly. After the aunt blew the whistle, all the children closed their eyes. She started to patrol around as usual to check if everyone was sleeping proper. Jiang Mingzhen closed her eyes very quickly, and put her hands together in the quilt honestly. The aunt stopped by her bed.
“Cough.” Auntie didn’t know how to say it. She couldn’t find fault in Jiang Mingzhen’s posture as she was orderly. But under the quilt, there was a bulge in the shape of a hill. It was hard to wonder if she hid things. If it was any other child, the aunt might just go over and lift the quilt, but it happened to be the daughter of the Jiang family. Mrs. Jiang often came to school, and always gave presents to the aunts so that they could take care of her child. After weighing the consequences, the aunt squatted down and whispered to Jiang Mingzhen: “Don’t make too much noise.”
Jiang Mingzhen, like a little chicken, with closed eyes nodded with a peck. When they heard the lock of the door, it meant that the aunt was out, and the children opened their eyes and started to have fun in the afternoon.
“Hey,” Jiang Mingzhen grabbed a pack of snacks from her belly and shook it at the classmate next to her in the noise, “Who will vote for the drawing competition in the afternoon?”
“I…” The classmate who was playing with the leaf instrument bit his lip timely. Stared at the snacks in her hand, he changed his words sharply, “If I don’t vote for He Yu, will you give me snacks?”
She shook her head: “I will give you if you vote for He Yu.”
“Huh?” The classmate was quite surprised, “Why? Don’t you hate He Yu?”
Jiang Mingzhen snorted coldly and curled her lips, “What’s up with you? Why are you asking so many questions? Will you vote for him?”
“Vote!” The classmate happily took the snacks. She took out another packet, and asked him to help spread the message: “You help me give it to your next bed and tell her to vote for He Yu. If she votes, she will get snacks.”
The little student bit the jelly in his mouth, and went to work without a word. In that way, with Jiang Mingzhen’s bed as the center, the snacks were spread one by one. “If you vote for He Yu, you can have snacks that Jiang Mingzhen brought.”
“If you vote for He Yu, Jiang Mingzhen will give you snacks.”
“Vote for He Yu, for Jiang Mingzhen’s snacks.”
“Jiang Mingzhen gave it, remember to vote for He…”
The boy took the snack and passed it onto the bed next to him, and suddenly realized that something was wrong.
“Oh, no need to ask you to vote.”
He Yu opened his eyes and looked at him. The classmate scratched his neck awkwardly, “Then you can pass it to your next bed and ask him to vote for you. The snacks are from Jiang Mingzhen.”
He sat up a bit, and looked at Jiang Mingzhen’s bed. She simply stood there and sent snacks. She stood on the concrete floor without slippers on her feet. He asked the child who passed the snacks, “Did you hear it right? She is asking to vote for me?”
The boy replied, “Hmm! That is absolutely correct.”
He Yu couldn’t figure it out, “Why?” He didn’t know. The boy guessed for himself and replied, “Probably think you draw well?”
“She thinks… I draw well, right?” He Yu pursed his lips, and some strange emotions surged in his heart. He lowered his head and squeezed the snacks in his hands. It was written ‘honey cake’, on the snacks. The door outside opened unexpectedly. The children were too noisy. The aunt came in to scold them and saw Jiang Mingzhen standing at the front.
“Jiang Mingzhen.” There was no way to scold her. “If you don’t need a good nap, you can come out.”
