After Senior Sun put the fur down and left, Gu Jialing flew to the fur, and he said happily, “Master, we can sell this fur for a lot of money, right?”

Su Miaomiao answered him, “It’s definitely possible. Humans love white fox furs the most. There are so many tails. Each of them can be used to make a big scarf, and each can be sold for hundreds of taels.”

In fact, most of what she said was speculation. Xu Shou, who was well-informed, explained, “The fur of the thousand-year-old nine-tailed fox can deter ordinary evil spirits and prevent them from approaching. Therefore, if you meet a suitable buyer, a single tail can be sold for a thousand taels of silver.”

Xu Shou patiently followed him, Gu Jialing was flying around in the sky, and Su Miaomiao was lazy, so she  jumped onto Xu Shou’s back secretly.

Feeling her on his back, he bared his teeth at her, making her jump on Xie Jingyuan’s shoulder in fright.

Xu Shou: “…”

“It’s too cold, I’ll use my tail as a scarf for you.”

Su Miaomiao watched Xie Jingyuan’s expression, and wrapped her tail around while making excuses, not caring whether it was early summer and not cold at all.

The fluffy cat’s tail made his neck itch a lot, so he said coldly, “Remove your tail from my neck.”

Su Miaomiao quickly withdrew her tail. She decided to jump down, but after a while she found that he didn’t push her away, so she clung to his shoulder with peace of mind.

Seeing that, Xu Shou said, “Don’t be presumptuous with the Taoist master. Come down, I’ll carry you on my back.”

Su Miaomiao turned around and pointed her round cat butt at him, which made Xu Shou look away resentfully.

Gu Jialing flew around in front and came back. Seeing that Su Miaomiao was so comfortable, he also wanted to land on Xie Jingyuan’s shoulder. But before he got close, a section of the sword on Xie Jingyuan’s back suddenly appeared.

Gu Jialing had to stop and complain in mid-air, “Why is the Taoist master willing to carry her? Obviously I am lighter than her.”
