Gu Jialing sat next to her, and said bitterly, “Partial, partial!”

He lived in the Xie house for three years, and no matter how many times he begged the Taoist master to wash his plates, he didn’t. As a result, even when Su Miaomiao didn’t say anything, he still actually helped her.

Wasn’t she just a cat?

They heard the sound of water in the kitchen, and not long after, Xie Jingyuan came out again holding Su Miaomiao’s bowl, which contained thick milky crucian carp soup.

“Grandma called in the morning and asked me to make soup for you to nourish your body.”

Xie Jingyuan put the fish soup in front of Su Miaomiao, and then sat back in his seat.

Su Miaomiao understood, sat down again, and scooped up the soup with a spoon.

Xu Shou reminded her, “It’s just out of the pan, be careful not to burn your tongue.”

Su Miaomiao grew up drinking fish soup, and she could tell whether the temperature was burning her mouth by the heat wafting from the soup bowl.

Glancing at Xu Shou suspiciously, Su Miaomiao lowered her head and tried to lick the soup in the spoon.

It was slightly hot, which was the right temperament.

She completely ignored Xu Shou’s words and drank with relish.

Gu Jialing was so greedy. He also ran to the kitchen to scoop up the soup, but the gas stove had just turned off, so let alone the soup, the heat from the pot when he lifted the lid made him gasp.

Gu Jialing suddenly understood something, and shouted, “Taoist Master, you used a spell to cool hers down, didn’t you?”

Su Miaomiao raised her head again.

Xie Jingyuan glanced at her, and said calmly, “You have a lot of valuables over there, finish your drink early and go back to look at them.”

Only then did Su Miaomiao understand the meticulousness of the Taoist master.

After drinking the soup, she hurried back, and she forgot to wash the dishes. Gu Jialing didn’t remind her anymore, anyway, someone was biased.

The three of them worked together to clean up the kitchen.

Gu Jialing took the water with a cup, hummed a ditty while watering the plants he had just brought back, and whispered something to those wilting yellow plants while watering.

Xu Shou vaguely heard words such as “come alive” and “sing to you”, and went to the room to read a book speechlessly.

Xie Jingyuan walked to a pot of green plants.

Gu Jialing quickly explained, “Taoist Master, Su Miaomiao didn’t want this. If I didn’t move it here, she would have thrown it away.”

Xie Jingyuan didn’t respond, and only touched a leaf with his fingertips.

Gu Jialing was about to continue watering, but when he saw the potted plant turn green at a speed visible to the naked eye, his eyes widened.

Xie Jingyuan injected spiritual power into each pot of green plants in turn.

The green plants had regained their vitality, but the soil in the pots was still dry.

Xie Jingyuan took the cup from the dumbfounded Gu Jialing and finished the watering work for him.

“Taoist Master, your spell is too powerful, isn’t it possible that even a dead person could be brought back to life?” Gu Jialing said in admiration.

Xie Jingyuan: “This is the simplest plant nourishment technique. Taking care of this ordinary small plant is fine but my power is useless to humans.”

Gu Jialing’s eyes lit up, “What about the birds?”

Xie Jingyuan: “Birds are plants?”

Gu Jialing: “…”

Xie Jingyuan looked at the door and said, “When the housekeeping aunt leaves, you can move them back.”

Gu Jialing: “She didn’t want them herself, I…”

Xie Jingyuan didn’t listen to his explanation and went back to the room.

Gu Jialing was heartbroken, he had taken care of Su Miaomiao many times that week, had finally had the opportunity to take advantage of it, but was disturbed by the Taoist master.

Looking at those shiny green leaves, Gu Jialing even felt a sense of pity for reckless abandonment.

Su Miaomiao was just a cat. How could he expect her to take care of the plants?

Gu Jialing went to Xu Shou to reason, hoping that he could help him persuade the Taoist master to change his decision.

Xu Shou: “The cat dad bought it, and the Taoist master rescued it. What does it have to do with you?”

Gu Jialing: “I moved them here!”

Xu Shou: “Then you move them back.”

Gu Jialing: “…”

Aggrieved, he went back to the living room and deliberately turned up the volume of the TV. Later, worried about disturbing the neighbors upstairs and downstairs, he hurriedly restored the volume to normal.

At nine o’clock in the evening, the housekeeper took her wage and left with a smile.

Gu Jialing pushed open the door and looked at Su Miaomiao who was about to enter.

Su Miaomiao: “What’s wrong?”

Gu Jialing: “The Taoist master saved all your plants, do you want them anymore? Don’t tell him yourself, lest he think that I insisted on stealing your things.”

Saved?

Su Miaomiao passed Gu Jialing curiously, and was still in the entrance, and saw those pots of green plants, some of which had flower buds.

She just didn’t like to take care of plants, but if there were ready-made good plants for her, how could she not like it?

“The Taoist master is really powerful,” Su Miaomiao said in admiration, and then began to move back the green plants.

Gu Jialing gritted his teeth, and finally helped her move them.

When all the green plants were placed back to their original positions, Su Miaomiao looked at the newly cleaned house again, and her mood became very good.

She took a picture of it and sent it to Xie Jingyuan: Thank you, Taoist Master.

A minute later, Xie Jingyuan replied: Remember to water regularly.

Su Miaomiao: Okay.

But Xie Jingyuan thought she would definitely forget.

On Sunday night, Su Miaomiao drank the fish soup stewed by Xie Jingyuan again.

She also found that the Taoist master’s face was not cold, and it became the same as before. Although there was no expression, it was not too scary.

However, on Monday morning, the only one waiting in the corridor was Gu Jialing who wanted to take her to school.
