Tangled Fates - Chapter 2

When his family broke down, Shi Jia showed pity and took him in. After all, the only daughter of the Shi’s, Shi Huan, was always wrapped around the man.

He carefully cleaned her body and replaced her bloodied clothes with a wedding dress that was hidden behind in the cupboard. She was so beautiful, like a delicate doll on a large bed covered with petals.

There were a lot of things that Shi Huan liked hidden in his cupboard. When she begged to take a look in his precious cabinet, he ignored her with indifference. She would turn away in disappointment as he immediately took a key to lock the closet.

“Huan Huan…” He could feel that she was still with him, so close to him in his arms. Duan Yifei pinched her nose, “Huan Huan, get up.”

Her eyes were closed; serene and beautiful.

‘Look, I know that Huan Huan is just asleep.’ Duan Yifei smirked and gently stroked her face.

In the past, he would do the same when she was fast asleep, with caution as to not get discovered by her.

“Huanhuan, I will be with you right away. Wait for me.” Duan Yifei saw an illusion when he looked up. He saw her Huanhuan standing in front of the door and was staring at him.

Illusion?

Looking down at her face, he smiled.
