Chen Jili walked into West hall. A white cloth was hanging in the air from the roof beams. A round stool underneath fell to the side. A sobbing sound came from inside.

Chen Jili’s head got a little bit painful. The woman had always been compassionate. Every time he faced her, she made him feel ashamed. But … there was a matter of her child’s death. He was afraid she didn’t know that this might be her only child, and he felt sorry for her.

She was scared. This child was a stumbling block between them. It had to be dealt with. How could a man be willing to raise others’ children? Even if he still had some affection for her, Li Shuangshuang didn’t dare to gamble.

She was still young and could have many children with Chen Jili in the future.

But what worried her was that after the child disappeared, Chen Jili didn’t comfort her as always and he never even looked at her.

This made her wonder if the doctor had said something to him. So she had to perform this act in which she couldn’t stand the pain of losing her son, and hang herself. As soon as she cried, Chen Jili would be soft-hearted. She knew this man too well.

But Chen Jili’s next sentence made Li Shuangshuang’s heart tremble.

“Jili, you’re right, the child shouldn’t have gone. It’s all my fault, I didn’t take enough care of him. Even if I had to guard him day and night, I should have not let him leave me.”

Li Shuangshuang grabbed Chen Jili’s shirt and looked at the man beside the bed with tears, “Jili, let me die. What is the use of living?”

Chen Jili looked indifferent. He pulled out her hand, turned and walked out, “You can clean up this place. I have a courtyard in the south of the city. You can stay there for a while.”

Li Shuangshuang who was lying on the edge of the bed looked up in horror.
