Rebirth of a star - Chapter 10
The first test left an everlasting shadow in everyone’s heart. Mr. Zhou had actually set up a camera to record everyone’s first time and later sent it to their mailbox.
According to Zhou, Yu Susu was smart enough to perform her skills and she was also good at expressing. Susu had searched the sign language on the internet when the teacher had told them about the exam.
Susu knew that her skills weren’t good enough. She couldn’t keep her facial expression while weeping. So, she fell on the ground and bowed.
Teacher Zhou finally encouraged her. A good actor should have all kinds of knowledge and skills. If someone cooperated, the performance would have been quite touching. So Susu felt better in her heart.
The performance of the B group was actually “the end of the hero”, so Susu’s guess was relatively close.
Zhang Xiao Yu was very frustrated. He said that because Zhou was an old man, he might not be able to accept such a bold performance. Susu thought that the performance of laughing was too superficial, too fluid on the surface, but not clear. Of course, these were just in her heart.
Qiao Shun Yu’s performance was excellent. Wworthy of years of acting and experience. But such a performance had just a small meaning to him. It was like he didn’t even hear the teacher’s praise. Susu felt that he was such a good performer, but he didn’t seem sad nor happy about it.
Rong Rong’s filming in Xitang was over. It was in the late stage, and was ready to be released in the summer. When she got free, she was ready to go back to college. She said solemnly, “This lady is going to be a star. There are not many days left for her leisure time.”
At that time, she didn’t know how her family was, as she went directly to Jinling University.
Tang Miao’s life was more comfortable. She fully displayed what was called “being genius”. In the past half year, she became familiar with theoretical knowledge. The old professors called and arranged for her to go to the familiar studio to practice in the second half of the year and do some simple studio work.
Because they were very close, they often ate together. She mentioned something about montage to Susu which she couldn’t understand at all. Though she knew all the words well, she didn’t know what they meant when they were combined. So Susu, like Rong Rong, began to worship her.
Zhang Xiao Yu had moved out of the dormitory last week. It is said that she had taken several advertisements and had enough money to rent a house, so she moved out. Susu saw a man upstairs that helped her carry the bags.
Qiu Yali stayed still with Susu in the same room, in the same dormitory. She did not move out and nor did anyone know what she was busy with.
Over the past six months, there had been numerous artists who had suddenly became popular. Like online celebrity Jiaojiao, the duckling of Queen PS, the new “Wang girl”, Zhao Mingmei who played in the orange of Zhou Yan MV, king of Baodao Heavenly Kingdom.
But the most interesting thing is that one day last month, a news occupied the entire three entertainment sections. It was neither the photograph of Zhou Yi appearing in Cai Yilin’s home, and nor was it about the Wang girl who was involved in the divorce. Rather, it was “Pirates of the Caribbean 5” finding their heroine in China.
Susu actually knew this actress.
It was Qin Jian Shu.
Qin Jian Shu had passed the second test, but she didn’t go to college and instead flew directly to the United States for the audition. Her profile was reported in the newspaper.
The only daughter of a wealthy British-Chinese man, whose mother had passed away years ago. She left home and came to China because her father brought a woman to marry. The rich man was extremely fond of his daughter, and vowed not to marry again, and invested a large sum of money for his daughter’s contact with the crew of Pirates of the Caribbean 5.
At first, Gore Wibinsky didn’t agree for the eastern girl to participate. But after talks between the rich man and the crew, Gore Wibinsky agreed to let Qin Jian Shu book an audition.
Dramatically, after the audition, Qin Jian Shu was upgraded from playing a minor supporting role and became the second female lead. Gore Wibinsky exaggerated that the girl was very enthusiastic and had many good qualities, as if she had been born for the Caribbean. These were not the point. The point was that she was Chinese.
For the Chinese media, this was something worth writing about. Many words of praise accumulated on the girl. Venus in the East, the Oriental Pearl in the UK, the Oriental angel, etc.
“Qin Jian Shu, this name is a little familiar.” Susu and Tang Miao were sitting in a hot pot shop. The big TV set in the hot pot shop was broadcasting the news of Qin Jian Shu.
On the TV, Qin Jian Shu wore big sunglasses and a red dress. She was attending a dinner party. She laughed heartily at the camera.
“Nonsense. She was on the news these days. You can’t find her name unfamiliar when she is on the news.” Susu picked up her favorite crab slippery pills, took a good bite, and glanced at Tang Miao.
Clearly, she gave a supercilious look and rolled her eyes but, Tang Miao felt like she was electrocuted. Obviously, the girl was like a small white flower, and having such looks, she made Tang Miao’s body go soft.
“You can’t just look at those white people so casually. You can’t become a white person if you wanted to,” Tang Miao, as the queen of poisonous tongues, spat.
“Oh.” Susu was used to small white flowers*, but she didn’t mind Tang Miao’s Savageness.
“I don’t mean that. I always think I saw the name somewhere.” Tang Miao never forgets the things she had seen. She always felt that she had seen her somewhere.
“On the second test list.” Susu solved the puzzle.
“Oh, yes,” Tang Miao suddenly realized, “Ah, you have such a good memory?”
“She stayed in the same hotel as me and said hello. How could such a girl be forgotten?” Susu replied.
“That’s how it was.” Tang Miao said. After she had solved her doubts, they began to show other programs on TV. Tang Miao was no longer interested in her.
“By the way, yesterday, the teacher recommended me to take an advertisement for women’s goods.” Susu opened her bag and handed Tang Miao a document. Tang Miao was the so-called all-round talent. It was no mistake to have her help to check.
“Sanitary cotton,” Tang Miao almost squirted the drink out of her mouth. “Oh, it’s a good brand. Hey, it’s a good one. It’s OK. Wow!”
“The reward includes 10 boxes for you,” Tang Miao smiled and patted her on the shoulder, “Good sister, it’s not the gift that counts, but the thought behind it.”
“Get out of the way. Don’t even think about robbing my sanitary cotton packs. But, is it really good?”
“Yes. It’s really good. Remember, I need three boxes.”
It doesn’t hurt to give three boxes, as it was a small quantity.
“In other words, your teacher is really good to you. I also recommend it.”
Susu put on an awkward expression, thinking of that shameless uncle yesterday. He whispered to her at that time, “Susu, just give me a box. I will take it back to honor your teacher and mother.”
White flowers: Obedient, good girls.
