She should just pretend to be asleep all the time.

Wei Luo waited while getting dressed, to see if she would get up reluctantly, or if she would be bold enough to not listen.

Yin Hui adopted a compromise method, sat up wrapped in the quilt, and muttered, “You bring the comb here, I will comb it for you on the bed.”

Wei Luo fastened his belt, went to her dressing table to find the comb, and got into the bed again.

On the bed, she was like a rice dumpling, wrapped under the quilt from her neck to her feet. Only her head and messy hair was exposed.

Wei Luo handed her the comb, turned around and sat in front of her.

Yin Hui tried, but no matter what, she had to put down the quilt to move conveniently.

She had no choice but to tuck the quilt under her waist and let go of her arms to help him comb his hair.

While yawning, the comb teeth accidentally pulled a piece of his hair, which made Wei Luo take a deep breath from the pain.

Yin Hui quickly rubbed his head for him as if to make up for it and said, “Don’t be angry, I didn’t mean it.”

Wei Luo guessed that she would not be so bold to do it on purpose.

After combing his hair, Wei Luo turned around and glanced at her.

Yin Hui smiled, “It’s cold, don’t forget to put on your big cloak.”

With that, Wei Luo left.

It was still dark everywhere, Wei Luo ate breakfast alone, put on his big cloak, and walked out of Chengxin Hall with Chang Feng.

The night was as dark as ink, and the sky was full of stars, some were dim, and some were bright and eye-catching.

The five brothers went out at about the same time, met each other on the road, and then went to Qinzheng Hall to wait for King Yan.

When the sky was slightly bright, the father and sons took the guards and hurried to Huxiao Mountain.

The horse ran fast, and there was wind. Wei Yan felt that his face was about to go stiff, and his ears lost consciousness early on.

“Is it cold? The wind outside the Great Wall is even colder. You guys have been pampered since childhood, and have never suffered any real hardship,” King Yan took the lead and ran, looking back at his sons, he said very contemptuously.

“It’s all thanks to you, father,” Wei Yan flattered him.

King Yan hummed.

The group of people arrived at the foot of Huxiao Mountain at dawn. Feng Su and three thousand soldiers came a day before. They searched Huxiao Mountain early, and then surrounded it to prevent assassins from committing murder.

King Yan ordered his youngest son, fifth master Wei Jing, to go with him, and the four older ones set off separately, and met at the foot of the mountain at noon.

Each master could only bring one servant and two guards who were responsible for carrying the prey.

Before Wei Luo set off, he caught a glimpse of Feng Teng in the escort who quietly gestured to him, telling him to go to Xishan.

Feng Teng followed Feng Su to patrol the mountains the day before, so he must have found out where some prey appeared.

But Wei Luo didn’t want to cheat, so he went east soon after entering the mountain.

Wei Yan, on the other hand, also noticed Feng Teng’s gesture, and went west with a smile.

When they met at noon, Wei Luo only killed two hares, which was about the same as Wei Yang’s harvest.

Wei Yan actually killed a pair of big foxes, took two little foxes from the fox den alive, and locked them in a cage.

King Yan finally praised him, “Second son, you’re lucky today.”

Wei Yan smiled and said, “This son took advantage of the third brother. Feng Teng even pointed out the direction for the third brother. The third brother didn’t want to take advantage of it, so I stole it.”

His father was very aware of the details, Wei Yan did not believe that Feng Teng’s small actions could escape the eyes of his father, and it was better to tell the truth than to be greedy for merit.

King Yan looked at Wei Luo and Feng Teng.

Wei Luo lowered his eyes and Feng Teng scratched his head in embarrassment.

King Yan didn’t pursue that trivial matter and led the team back.

The guards had to assemble and return to the barracks.

While the men were still gathering, Commander Feng Su called his son aside, and under the cover of a tree, he kicked his son fiercely, “The third master is very skilled in martial arts, does he need your help for hunting?”

Feng Teng felt wronged, “I’m working with him, what’s the matter if I remind him?” His son was straight-headed. Feng Su could only speak clearly, “You are biased toward the third master in your heart, so you want to help him, right?”

Feng Teng rubbed his leg that hurt from being kicked, and still refused to accept it, “Yes, what’s the issue?”

Feng Su: “If something big happened to the young masters, wouldn’t you want to help the third master first?”

Feng Teng: “Of course, I know the third master best.”

Feng Su: “You’re so confused. He is the son of King Yan with many others. If you openly favor the third master, you will only harm him.”

After hearing the analysis, Feng Teng finally realized his mistake, and got immediately annoyed, “It’s over, did I cause trouble for the third master?”

Feng Su shook his head, “You can’t control the rest. Don’t think about it.”

When Yan Wang and others returned to the palace, the red sun had already begun to drift westward.

The masters were all hungry, so they didn’t talk much, and went back to their yards.

In Yizhi Hall, Xu Qingwan helped Wei Yang to change his clothes, and when he came out, the food was already set on the table.

Wei Yang ate in silence.

Xu Qingwan knew that he was not in a good mood. Her husband was not good at martial arts. In hunting it was likely his limelight was robbed by his younger brothers, so he was unhappy.
