Yin Hui smiled and answered, but her heart sank. In those ten years, Princess Xu never got involved in her affairs. Why did she imply for her to take a concubine for Wei Hao? 

Ji Xianxian glanced at Xu Qingwan. 

Xu Qingwan lowered her head to drink tea, her fingertips turned white. 

After the greetings were over, the third sister-in-law, Wei Shan, and Wei Ying left one after another. The two girls had gone to play, only the sisters-in-law were left. 

Ji Xianxian suddenly grabbed Yin Hui’s arm, held her and smiled at Xu Qingwa, “Sister-in-law, I heard that my elder brother brought a younger sister back from the capital. I was in confinement and it was difficult to go out a while ago. Today, how about you take us to meet your new sister?” 

Yin Hui wanted to pull her arm out when she heard that, and said, “I have something to do, so I won’t go.” 

Ji Xianxian was holding her so tightly that she couldn’t pull her arm, so when she was about to step on her, Xu Qingwan smiled, looked at them and said, “It’s good for you to meet her, or you won’t recognize her when you meet her in the future. You can come and sit with me in Yizhi Hall.” 

When Ji Xianxian was finally willing to let go of her, Yin Hui glared at her unabashedly. 

Ji Xianxian seemed to have seen a ghost. If Xu Qingwan hadn’t been by their side, she would have fought Yin Hui.

After asking the wet nurse to take Xiao Heng home first, Yin Hui silently followed Ji Xianxian to Yizhi Hall.

Xu Qingwan invited them to sit down in the warm pavilion, served tea, chatted for a while, and then sent someone to invite the singer her husband brought back, who became Concubine Meng.

When footsteps came from outside, Ji Xianxian smiled and looked toward the door. 

Yin Hui looked at her as if she didn’t care much.

As soon as Concubine Meng came in, Ji Xianxian was stunned. 

Concubine Meng saluted Xu Qingwan softly and put her hand on her stomach as if by accident. 

Both Yin Hui and Ji Xianxian understood that Concubine Meng was pregnant.

“This is the second madam and the third madam. Don’t be rude when you see them in the future,” Xu Qingwan said to Concubine Meng with a faint smile. 

Concubine Meng turned sideways and bowed to Ji Xianxian and Yin Hui respectively. Maybe she didn’t expect that the two girls were both very beautiful, and her eyes showed surprise. 

Ji Xianxian smiled smugly. Did the kind of lowly singer really think that everyone who was a lady was not beautiful and that everyone looked like Xu Qingwan?

Yin Hui just nodded and continued drinking tea. 

After they saw her, Xu Qingwan asked the two sisters-in-law to leave on the grounds that she was unwell. 

Leaving Yizhi Hall, Ji Xianxian remembered Yin Hui’s rudeness to her again, and said to her arrogantly, “I haven’t seen you for a while, your etiquette is not as good as before, I kindly invited you to see the new sister, how dare you glare at me?” 

Yin Hui said calmly, “Second sister-in-law, you hurt me.” Just as Ji Xianxian was about to speak, a gust of wind blew up, blowing off a strand of Yin Hui’s hair stuck to her white face. There was an indescribable beauty on her tender little face. 

Ji Xianxian belatedly realized that she, who she didn’t put in her eyes at first, had changed, making it hard for people to ignore her.

She smiled and stabbed Yin Hui, “I know you don’t dare to offend my sister-in-law, but you heard what the princess said clearly, reminding you to add someone to the third master’s harem. Yin Hui seemed not to understand her long rambling, and walked away. 

Jinzhan followed her master every step of the way, and after walking a certain distance, Ji Xianxian had disappeared, and there was no one else around, so Jinzhan said worriedly, “Madam, does the princess really want you to give a concubine to the third master?” 

Yin Hui nodded. 

Jinzhan asked anxiously, “What can we do?” 

Yin Hui smiled and said, “What can we do? If the third master is willing to take a concubine, can you stop him?” She didn’t care much about that.

In the afternoon, Wei Luo came back and talked with King Yan for an hour in Cunxin Hall, and when he returned to Chengxin Hall, it was almost dark. 

He came to the backyard after bathing in the front yard. 

Yin Hui took a special look at his hands. Fortunately, not only did he not get any new scars, but the previous ones were almost healed. 

Xiao Heng usually seemed to have forgotten that he had a father. But when Wei Luo appeared, he laughed and stretched out his hand to be hugged by his father. 

Before the meal, the father and son spent too little time together. So after the meal, Wei Luo went to the next room with his son in his arms. 

He meant to spend the night in the backyard. Yin Hui was afraid that he would be disappointed, so while their son crawled aside, Yin Hui leaned in behind his ear and said, “My menstrual period from the day before yesterday has not stopped yet.” He glanced at her with a cold face and cold eyes. Forget about him. Everything that needed to be said had been said, so Yin Hui went to bed first. 

After staying under the warm quilt, Wei Luo came. 

He turned off the lights after he asked the maids to leave. 

Usually keeping the light on meant that he would ask for water that night, and not keeping it on meant telling the maids that water was not necessary that night. 

As soon as the room was dark, Yin Hui felt at ease.
