“You can go,” Wei Hao said.

Yin Hui was overjoyed, “Thank you, Third Master.” Happily, Yin Hui raised her head and quickly kissed him on the cheek.

Wei Luo frowned, remained silent for a moment, and then said, “Go to sleep.”

When Yin Hui hurried back to her bed, Wei Luo raised his hand and wiped the place she just kissed with his cuff.

On the seventh day of the lunar new year, Yin Hui came to Jinxiu as promised.

There were some questions about the account book, she asked them one by one, and Uncle Zhou answered them one by one.

After finishing talking about business matters, Yin Hui looked at the people walking on the street and suddenly asked Uncle Zhou, “His Majesty has a commander named Feng Su, have you heard of him?”

Uncle Zhou smiled and said, “Madam, have you forgotten what our family does? If a family of merchants wants to gain a foothold in a place, the first thing they need to know is not the news of the rival merchants, but the situation of the local officials. Not to mention the collusion between the government and businessmen, at least we can’t offend the officials.”

Yin Hui said, “Then tell me about the Feng family quickly.”

Uncle Zhou asked, “Why does Madam want to inquire about the Feng family? Could it be that there is some issue between the Feng family and the third master?”

Yin Hui: “No, you’re overthinking. The king wants the third master to have experience and arranged for him to be the deputy commander under Feng Su, so I want to know about the affairs there.”

Uncle Zhou understood, and began to tell Yin what he knew about the Feng family.

Feng Su’s family was in the capital. He only came to Pingcheng with King Yan, married and had children in Pingcheng. Feng Su and his wife were very affectionate, and there was no concubine in the family. It was just that after so many years, the couple had only one son, Feng Teng, so they were naturally very fond of him.

Feng Teng was good at martial arts and was very skilled. He liked to make friends through martial arts and he had made friends with a group of young military officers.

“Uncle Zhou, how is Feng Teng’s health? Does he have any hidden disease?”

“I’ve never heard of it. People who practice martial arts are usually very strong.”

“Then, does Feng Teng have any unpleasant shortcomings?”

“Well, I really don’t know. I’ll ask someone to inquire later.”

Yin Hui confessed to Uncle Zhou, “I want to know everything related to Feng Teng, good or bad, no matter how big or small. Of course, you can quietly inquire, try not to let anyone notice.”

Uncle Zhou responded immediately.

Wei Luo and Feng Teng’s match would take place in the middle of next month, but as long as Uncle Zhou could provide useful information when they met on the seventh day of the next month, she would still have a chance to stop it.

There was a heavy snowfall in October. It snowed for three consecutive days. When the snowflakes finally stopped, the snow in the yard was more than a foot deep.

Jinzhan and Yinzhan took the maids and women to sweep the snow, and there was a cloud of white mist in their breath.

Yin Hui hugged Xiao Heng and sat at the entrance of the hall watching. There was a charcoal basin next to them. Neither of the two was cold and the clear air smelled very comfortable.

“Does Xiao Heng miss his father?” Yin Hui asked with a smile.

Xiao Heng watched the maids shoveling snow with great enthusiasm. The maid on his side stopped to rest, and he immediately turned his head to look at the maid on the other side. It was obvious that he didn’t think about his father at all.

Yin Hui shook her son’s chubby hand.

The heavy snow left Wei Luo in the barracks outside the city, and before the snow, he had stayed in the barracks for two nights, so he hadn’t seen his son for five days in a blink of an eye.

During those ten years, Yin Hui remembered some major events clearly. But she didn’t bother to think about the trifling matter of when Wei Luo came back after the snow.

In short, no matter what setbacks encountered in the middle, Wei Luo would make contributions on the battlefield, and in the end he would be canonized as King Shu smoothly, and she did not need to worry about his safety.

All she needed to do was to live her own life well, help Wei Luo avoid some detours, and take good care of her child.

Halfway through the snow, Chang Feng came back and said that Wei Luo was in the palace.

Yin Hui’s memory was awakened by those words, and she remembered that although Wei Luo returned to the palace, he was immediately sent by King Yan to inspect the disasters in Yandi, and he had to be busy until the end of the month. He could not attend the banquet of the full moon of Xiao Zhuang.

Sure enough, it didn’t take long for Wei Luo to come back covered in snow. He asked An Shun’er to pack up the clothes as he was going out, and took the time to see his son.

The family of three sat on the warm couch in the east room. Wei Luo hugged Xiao Heng who hadn’t seen him for a long time, as if there was no one else in his eyes.

However, Yin Hui noticed that there were several frostbites on the back of his hand.

Although she had never been to a place like a military camp, she could imagine the hardships involved.

Yin Hui went to the inner room with a silver cup.

“Where do you keep the antifreeze cream? Let’s pack a few boxes for the third master,” Yin Hui stood in front of a row of wooden boxes and said to Yinzhan.

Yinzhan opened a case and squatted there to get antifreeze cream.

The business of the Yin family spread all over the world. Caravans sometimes went to sea, and sometimes went beyond the Great Wall. They had to go through all kinds of harsh conditions, such as heat and cold. So even if there were things like antifreeze cream in large and small pharmacies, the one in the Yin’s store was the most effective. When winter came, Yin Yong also asked someone to send a box over.

The silver cup filled a whole box in one go, there were twenty boxes.

The master and servant were about to go out when Wei Luo came in.

Yinzhan glanced at her madam, put the box on the table, bowed her head and retreated.

“What’s this?” Wei Luo looked at the box and asked.

Yin Hui pouted and said, “Antifreeze cream, you don’t know how to take good care of your body, you have frostbite on your hands.”

After speaking, Yin Hui walked to the sink, where there was a pot of freshly boiled hot water. She picked up the copper pot and poured some water into the copper basin, white mist rose up, then mixed some cold water, turned around and said to the man standing over there, “Come here, wash your hands first.”
