Rebirth handbook - chapter 38
When sailing on the sea, they deviated from their original path as they weren’t careful, so Chang Manjing and He Weiming arrived at the deserted island nearly two hours later than expected.
It was a deserted island, the total area of the island was about the same as the seaside villa where they booked, and the entire island would fit in the visible region. As the man said, there was nothing on the island except a few trees and reefs.
That small island was like a chicken rib in shape, far away from the location of Tosai Island over and there was nothing special on that small island, so it could only be left idle and no one cared about it. Only occasionally would it have interested tourists.
The land area in the middle of the island was small, surrounded by large reefs and beaches, which were covered by a depth of about half a meter of rocks. Their motorboats couldn’t be docked directly on the shore. They could only stop at the rocky beach, about a hundred meters away from the land in the middle of the island.
“Come over.” Chang Manjing got off the motorboat first. She stepped barefoot on the soft white sand soaked in sea water. The water swept over her calf suddenly. Chang Manjing pulled her skirt up, and walked towards the island.
Suddenly, there was a sea breeze. Chang Manjing was looking down at the clear water under her feet. She suddenly felt a light breeze on her head and her white hat was blown off by the wind. She was taken aback for a moment. She raised her hand to pick up the blown off hat, but her fingertips barely touched the brim of the hat.
She heard the sound of water splash behind her, a hand suddenly passed over her, grabbed the hat that was almost blown into the sea. He Weiming took the hat and handed it to Chang Manjing while he looked at her skirt.
When she loosened her hands to catch the hat, the hem of her long skirt fell into the water and got wet. Chang Manjing took the hat but didn’t wear it, and glanced at her skirt, “Forget it, it will be dried in a while under the sun.”
He Weiming didn’t answer. He bent down and lifted Chang Manjing’s skirt that had fallen in the sea. He twisted it and said, “I have brought some clothes.”
Chang Manjing leaned on his shoulders and looked at the short soft black hair behind his head, “Well then, I’ll change it later.”
The two went to the island. He Weiming carried all the lunch and parasols on the motorboat, then pulled out a white T-shirt from his backpack, and a pair of beige beach pants. Chang Manjing took the clothes and changed them behind a tree. In fact, the trunk wasn’t thick and couldn’t cover her at all. He Weiming saw the snow-white skin exposed from behind the tree from a distance. He looked away as if he didn’t see that, and bowed his head to sort out the things he had brought. After Chang Manjing came out after changing her clothes, He Weiming raised his head to look at her.
Chang Manjing often wore dresses. She liked all kinds of dresses, so He Weiming also liked the way she dressed. But now, when He Weiming looked at the obviously big clothes on Chang Manjing, an inexplicable heat surged in his heart. What she was wearing was his clothes, with his smell. He Weiming suddenly felt that Chang Manjing in his T-shirt and pants was very beautiful, and he wanted to give her a hug.
Chang Manjing didn’t realize his gaze, she looked around with the changed skirt in her hand, ran to a short tree and hung up the wet dress. He Weiming had already set things up under the shade of a tree, Chang Manjing walked over and sat on the blanket, pulled the pants she was wearing and smiled, “Your pants are too big, look it’s so loose at the waist.”
He Weiming only gave it a quick glance and turned away with a stiff face. With a low humble face, he poured a glass of iced juice and handed it to her. Chang Manjing took it and saw him sit sideways a little further away from her. She smiled. There was a basket between the two. They quietly listened to the sound of waves. At noon, the two of them ate the lunch they had brought over. Chang Manjing circled a few trees on the island with great interest, picked a spot, fastened the specially prepared hammock, and lay down comfortably. “Weiming, do you want to try this?”
He Weiming was wiping his surfboard. When he heard those words, he looked over and saw that she was lying on her hammock, so he put down the surfboard in her hand and went to check whether the two ends of the hammock tied to the trees were firm. Chang Manjing stretched out, laid on her back and watched his movements, with a relaxed smile on her face, “Why don’t you try lying down. It’s very comfortable.”
If he lay down, he might get embarrassed in front of her. In the past two days, he dreamed of something every night… But, he didn’t get too close to her otherwise he would be unable to control his body’s natural reaction. He Weiming could only shake his head, “I… going surfing.”
Chang Manjing didn’t force him, and waved at him, “Go, pay attention to safety.”
The sea was even quieter. She looked from a distance, there was nothing but water, as if there were only two of them left in the world, and no one else existed. He Weiming went to surf and vent some restlessness. After sweating, he dived into the sea and swam for a while. He also picked a palm-sized smooth shell from under the sand. The lines on it were neat and the most peculiar thing was the color. The purple rendering looked like a sunset in the sky, very beautiful.
