After returning to the Dustless hall, Zhu Ying said to Yong Ruo, “Furen is magnanimous, and this slave can’t cheat you. I can confess everything!”

Yong Ruo nodded, “Then what you have written during this time, show it to me!”

Zhu Ying stepped back, returned to her room, took out a stack of documents from the desk drawer, and came to Yong Ruo’s room.

Yong Ruo turned over what she wrote, and was satisfied. What Zhu Ying wrote this time was more detailed than the booklet she wrote last time, which was very helpful to her.

She praised Zhu Ying.

Zhu Ying listened with joy, and said, “Slave have a few more words to say. It’s not easy to write on the paper. I want to tell Furen only.”

Yong Ruo smiled, thinking, ‘I let Zhu Ying go lightly, so will I get a gain soon?’

She waved her hand and let everyone else go out!

When only she and Zhu Ying were left in the room, Zhu Ying stepped forward two steps, bowed her head slightly in front of Yong Ruo, and whispered, “Slave needs to say a few words to Furen.”

Yong Ruo raised her eyebrows with interest, “What is it?”

“It’s a few old things. When the old Prince Xing was alive, there were two concubines. One was the concubine Zhou Mufei, the mother of the eldest Prince; the other was Pan Mufei who had no children and is now nun in Puhui Temple.”

According to Zhu Ying, Zhou Mufei was a palace maid who had served the Prince Xing for many years, and later became the concubine of the Prince Xing, who was very much loved by him. Before Taifei got married, Zhou Mufei gave birth to the eldest Prince.

After Shen Taifei arrived, although her husband gave her face, he often went to rest in the room of his most favorite woman in his heart, Zhou Mufei.

Later, Shen Taifei and Zhou Mufei both were pregnant. Shen Taifei gave birth to a child first, but Zhou Mufei unfortunately miscarriage when she was six months pregnant. She died, which made the old Prince sad.

Thanks to Taifei postpartum weakness, he persuaded and comforted her. So the old Prince came out of the pain of losing his love.

The next few years were the most beautiful time for Shen Taifei’s marriage, during which Princess of Xing’an County was born.

Later, something happened to Shen Taifei’s family. The Prince Xing pulled away from Shen family, but somehow, had an awkward relationship with Shen Taifei. He never went to Shen Tai Fei’s hall again.

It didn’t take long for Prince Lao Ying to bring back a beautiful woman from the outside, named Pan Mufei.

After Pan Mufei entered the house, she was greatly loved by Prince Xing. Every year with the permission of the Emperor to spend the winter in Louvre or summer in Laoshan Palace, he only took Pan Mufei.

Later, after several more years, and with her children’s efforts, she managed to coax the old Prince Xing back and gave birth to Feng Liao, but the old Prince Xing died suddenly.

At the funeral of Prince Lao Ying, Pan Mufei invited a monk to pray for Prince Lao Ying.

After talking about these past events, Zhu Ying concluded, “According to my mother, Furen’s temperament and character are similar to that of Pan Mufei …”

Yong Ruo realized, ‘So when she first saw me, did Taifei see Pan Mufei in me?’

“I see. Do you have anything else to tell?”

“No more.”

Yong Ruo sent Zhu Ying back and asked her to continue writing.

She muttered to herself, ‘When Pan Mufei invited Pu Huizhen (monk), wasn’t she afraid Shen Taifei couldn’t stand her? After all, in those years when she was favored. Shen Taifei was disappointed and the enmity between the two grew.’

The weak concubine died of a miscarriage, was there anything more? With the indomitable strength of Shen Taifei, it was quite possible. Moreover, King Ping Jun’s relationship with Shen Taifei seemed very cold. He rarely greeted Shen Taifei.

Why did Prince Lao Ying have trouble with Shen Taifei?

She shook her head and tossed aside these unanswered questions.

Du Yan told her these old things, obviously showing her goodwill, but her strength was very limited.

Yong Ruo wasn’t surprised.

Du Yan was the confidant of Shen Taifei. How could it be so easy to defeat the enemy? Being able to reciprocate at a convenient time was already very good enough.

My guess is Taifei was involved with that concubine’s death, but her Husband couldn’t prove it. He had to keep playing the “good husband” in front of people. Maybe later Taifei convinced him she either didn’t do it or it was an accident, and that’s why he slept with her again and she got pregnant with the ML.
