Grandpa Jiang stood up from the cart and asked Wang Yong, “Excuse me, is this shop…?”

Wang Yong, remembering Jiang Ning’s words that the shop was opened for her grandfather, suddenly said, “You are Jiang Ning’s grandfather, right?” 

Grandpa Jiang nodded and looked at Wang Yong with some confusion, “Yes, Jiang Ning is my eldest granddaughter.” 

He was a little unsure about Wang Yong’s identity.

Jiang Ning, who heard Grandpa Jiang’s voice, suddenly opened the rolling shutter door. “Grandpa, why did you arrive at this time? Why didn’t you call me?”

Wang Yong waved his hands in embarrassment, “No problem.” 

He and Jiang Ning helped Grandpa Jiang into the shop.

The shop was nearly empty, there were far fewer shoes on the shelves, and there wasn’t much inventory behind the curtains. 

Grandpa Jiang said, “I still have some things outside.”

Jiang Ning hurried over and pulled the cart into the shop.

There were several vegetable jars placed on the cart, and the uneaten rice was stored in rice jars. A bowl on top was tied tightly with hemp rope. There was also a large basket of vegetables. Grandpa Jiang planned to set up a stall at the door the next morning to see if he could sell them.
