Husband you're so bad - Chapter 23.2
“Go get your account book and the ID card,” Gu Yubai said with an impassive face, not a trace of emotion resonating.
Lin Meng went to her room. Of course, she knew what he meant. Holding these two things in her hands, she did not dare to go down right away. She sat on the edge of the bed and looked in the mirror. She was only twenty-five years old, but she saw years of change on her face. Not because of how she looked, but because of her heart.
‘Marriage, would you regret it?’ she asked herself.
She was afraid she would. After ten minutes in the room, she went downstairs. Seeing her appear, Gu Yubai stood up.
“Grandfather and grandmother, we will leave first. I will send her back at night.” Did he call them grandparents? Drop her at night?
“Go.” Ouyang Yan nodded with a smile.
Gu Yubai walked towards her and pulled her hand. His hands were large and warm, but her hands were icy. Why were her hands cold every time he held them? Her hands used to be warm before.
At the Civil Affairs Bureau, many people were lined up. One for marriage and the other for divorce. Such an irony. Looking at people on both sides was like watching a tragicomedy. The ones who came to get married looked joyful and loving. Those that came for divorces were standing far away from each other with frosty faces.
Gu Yubai led Lin Meng into a separate office.
Inside the room sat a 40-year-old middle-aged man, fat, with sparse hair.
“Gu Shao, you came.” He got up when he saw them.
They sat down on the chairs in front of him, and soon everything was done.
She got the red booklet with the bronze character “ni” her hand. They could burn people’s eyes. When they arrived at the car, Qin Yue asked Gu Yubai: “Gu Shao, where do you want to go now?”
“Kindergarten.”
Why kindergarten? What did he want to do? She did not ask. Her silence, to a certain extent, could save her from a lot of things.
It was time for Huai’an to leave kindergarten. She didn’t tell Huai’an about the marriage between her and Gu Yubai. One, he was too small to understand. Second, she didn’t know how to breach the topic.
.
When they arrived at the kindergarten, Lin Meng got off the car. Gu Yubai followed and stood at the entrance of the kindergarten. The two stood, looking at the gate.
A woman came earlier than the other parents, always standing at the door. Today, a man was accompanying her. It should be the father of the child. The two looked quite good together, so no wonder the child grew up so well.
As soon as the kindergarten gate opened, Huai’an jumped out.
“Mom.”
Lin Meng bent over and picked him up. Huai’an opened his mouth to talk, but when he saw Gu Yubai standing on the side, he swallowed the words. He buried his head in her chest. He did not dare to lift his face, let alone say something.
This silence continued when they got in the car. Huai’an sat on her lap, no longer showing the enthusiasm of the past. His whole persona turned timid.
