Apocalypse Arrival - chapter 252
“Sister Qianxun, are you really going to kill me? I’m Jiang Xiaojie!” ‘Jiang Xiaojie’ looked clean and simple, with a long-awaited reunion of closeness and admiration.
The long blade in Chu Qianxun’s hand passed forward and pierced into its skin, where there came a sound of ice cracking.
Several cracks appeared on Jiang Xiaojie’s eyebrows, and there was still transparent ice at the cracks.
“No need to pretend, you and I know very well that you are not that person. You are not even a human, but a completely different creature from us,” Chu Qianxun’s face was expressionless, and her voice was very low.
Jiang Xiaojie’s face split from the center of the eyebrows, and a piece of ice rolled up from his neck one after another, covering his human-like face.
After a while, the ice on top of his head turned over again, and the crack on the eyebrows that was pierced by Chu Qianxun had recovered, and it was still a perfect, flawless face.
At the moment, his entire head and upper half of his body had completely become a human form, but below his waist and abdomen was his lower body covered with ice.
“I was hurt very badly. In this kind of weather, I can’t maintain my frost shape. This is my most labor-saving form.”
It seemed to be unconcerned about the harm Chu Qianxun had caused.
But it no longer imitated Jiang Xiaojie’s manner of speaking, and revealed the expressionless, joyless and sad manner common to demons.
“Can you transform into a human form so early?”
Facing Jiang Xiaojie’s demonized body, Chu Qianxun’s heart was mixed.
What surprised her was that simulating human form was a feature that could only appear in high-level demons many years later.
The fallen person in front of her was only a fourth-order demon, which could not only transform into a human form, but also mimic the manners and movements of humans vividly. It had even begun to learn to figure out human psychology.
“Speaking of it, maybe I need to thank you. When I was born, all kinds of messy memories and all kinds of information from the world poured into my mind. My brain was full of ignorance and chaos, and all that remained in my body was killing intent. But the time you used that warm yellow light on me, it made my consciousness clear soon. This process might have taken a long time,” the demon seemed very happy to be able to communicate with Chu Qianxun.
“It’s a pity that I can’t transform my entire body into a human form, but I can choose any part of the body by myself,” it raised an arm, and it turned into an arm made of ice, and then back into a flesh and blood.
“Isn’t it interesting?” It looked at Chu Qianxun, stopped for a moment, thought about it, and put on a smile correctly.
“Yes, it’s very interesting,” Chu Qianxun replied, while slowly placing the black blade in her hand on its neck.
“Don’t kill me, Sister Qianxun.” It looked at Chu Qianxun with a pair of innocent eyes, like a really innocent boy, “I like your human world very much, and I really want to stay here for a while.”
“I have no reason to let you go, you and I are from different races.”
“But why is that?”
If she didn’t look at its completely different body from human beings, Chu Qianxun would almost laugh at its stupid question.
“Why? As long as you feed on humans, our two races will always be enemies! Immortal enemies.”
“We eat people because of the need for survival. Life is very precious. Every time I eat food, I can absorb it well, turn it into a nutrient for my body, and let their life continue in my body.” It used an almost religious attitude, stretched out its hand to hold its chest, and said, “Eating is a sacred and great thing for us, and we don’t think of hatred.”
“It’s ridiculous, no matter what you say, it is human beings who lost their lives,” Chu Qianxun suspected that she was crazy. She was actually talking to a demon there.
“I think you humans yourself, often for some inexplicable reason brutally kill a large number of your compatriots. Even after sacrificing their precious lives in vain, you do not cherish their corpses but let them decay in the wilderness. Isn’t this more excessive? Why don’t you hate these people and target us? We are really doing everything just for survival.”
It was the first time Chu Qianxun heard that kind of apostasy argument. Most demons were innocent in nature, and their simplicity often reflected a pure cruelty.
In their eyes, killing was a normal behavior that conformed to the rules of nature, and it was a despicable behavior that humans kill each other with almost no explanation.
“Sister Qianxun, in fact, you’re not willing to kill me. Otherwise, you won’t listen to me so much,” the demon seemed a little happy, and stretched out its hand to Chu Qianxun.
The fingers were clean and white, and there was no trace of blemishes.Â
“The most memorable thing in my mind is you. I really want to see you again and talk to you.”
“But I must kill you. I can’t let go of a real demon like you,” Chu Qianxun raised the blade, and she looked at “Jiang Xiaojie” in front of her.
“Jiang Xiaojie” also raised its head and looked at her, those eyes were clear, there was no resentment in them, only a touch of reluctance.

Ah, my heart really hurts with this one. JXJ was really one of my favorite character, if not my favorite. He truly made me laugh a few times. To me, he felt the most lifelike….I just don’t know how to explain it.
