Apocalypse Arrival - chapter 221
Chu Qianxun started to take out the crystal core. The demon slowly closed its beautiful eyes. The sapphire hair fragments scattered all over the ground. The huge whale skeleton quietly fell on the ground, and the nearby vegetation quickly pulled out new ones from the center of the circle. The branches grew vigorously.
Ye Peitian looked at the quiet hut, and walked toward the door.
A few rickety skeletons climbed up from the ground and stood in front of him, blocking him from moving forward.
The sand floated in the air, pushing the skeletons to the ground.
Ye Peitian solved several waves of skeletons in front and came to the door. He stretched out his hand to press on the dilapidated wooden door and pushed open the door with his fingers.
The sunlight outside the house revealed a rectangular light on the floor where the door was, forming a contrast between light and shadow in the dim room.
He stepped in the sunlight at the door, looking at the dark world inside the house.
A “mother” stood by the stove, wearing an apron and gloves, facing the empty pot, she kept busy.
Sitting at the table was a “father” who was reading a book, and a “little girl” in a pink dress. The girl lowered her head and played with the doll in her arms from time to time.
When these people were still alive, this was a scene with warmth. How cruel this scene was now.
In a dark corner, there was a young boy who was sloppy, stretched out his hand to hold his head, and made a hoarse interference sound from the gap in his arm, “Get out…”
Ye Peitian slowly walked in from outside the bright door, before reaching the darkness, he stretched out his hand, “Come with us. Go outside. There are still many people in the base outside.”
The dim figure slapped Ye Peitian’s hand away. His face was too dry and thin, and his huge eyes were empty and silent, “Get out… don’t disturb me.”
“I know the horror of being alone in the dark, but as long as you are willing to take this step, you still have the opportunity to embrace the sun.”
Ye Peitian squatted in front of him and pointed out the room.
In the sunlight outside the house, Chu Qianxun was walking toward the door. The girl who had just finished the battle had a reddish complexion, and it seemed to glow in the warm autumn sun. That was his light.
“A person like me…” The boy lowered his head.
After a long time, he finally stretched out his skinny hand slowly.
Ye Peitian took his hand, pulled him up from the ground, and led him out of the dark shadow to walk outside the door.
On the wall behind them, two photos hung.
One of them was a family portrait, a strong father, a gentle mother, a lively and lovely little daughter and a smiling teenager.
On the other one, the three teenagers with their shoulders touching each other, looking at their leaving backs, smiled simply and brilliantly.
In Rongcheng Base, Song Ping moved a small stool and sat beside Yue Wenhua.
“Hey, man, I’ll watch over you for one day. Don’t make trouble for me, I can’t explain it later,” Song Ping said.
Yue Wenhua turned his face away and ignored him.
When entering the base, Yue Wenhua once saw the brothers from Shennai appearing there. Although it was far away from the Magic Capital and the news was not connected, he still hoped to be able to reach the brothers of the church and ask them to help him pass the news to rescue him.
There was a huge question in his heart, like a lump in his throat, and he couldn’t sleep day and night. He must return to Father as soon as possible to find out the truth.
Yue Wenhua closed his eyes, and only by thoroughly investigating the truth could he no longer be confused and be able to believe in God more firmly and piously.
There was a noise in the yard, and the man living in the room at the door brought a group of people in through the gate.
The people following him were neatly dressed and solemn, and most of them wore various church logos. They were the real power personnel of the entire base. The first few people were members of Shenhai. Yue Wenhua’s eyes lit up, and hope ignited in his heart.
The man got into his house, and there was a sound of struggling and pleading from a woman. With a scream, the woman’s crying stopped abruptly, and the man came out, holding a young man with his hands behind him and a cloth in his mouth.
He threw the struggling young man in front of everyone, wiped the sweat from his head, “It’s him, this is my son.”
The clergy of Shennai lowered his eyelashes and looked at the boy on the ground, “Is it voluntary?”
“It’s voluntary. Although I love my children too, for the safety of the entire base, we have to sacrifice him,” he wiped away the tears that did not exist, and put on a distressed look, not so sincere.
When another clergyman who led the team made a gesture, someone brought out a bag of food and placed it in front of the man.
The man ignored the superficial effort, opened the bag and looked at it, and laughed in satisfaction.
“Compassionate God, please bless this young man with your love!” The God-loving believer read out the familiar prayer and waved his hands, “Take him away.”
Two men walked out of the queue and reached out to catch the desperately struggling teenager.
“Stop, what are you doing?!” An angry voice came from the corner of the yard.
