Apocalypse Arrival - chapter 175
Chu Qianxun drew a cluster of icy edges spreading from the center to all sides on the paper. The lines of the pattern were very simple, but she drew one draft after another.
Finally, she looked at the finished manuscript in silence for a long time, then picked it up and asked Ye Peitian who was standing by, “How is it? Do you like it?”
The pattern seemed a bit endless, but Ye Peitian knew what she was referring to.
This pattern was a commemoration of their lost friend. Qianxun hid the sadness of losing her team member, but inadvertently revealed it in the long river.
“It’s very suitable, just use it as the symbol of our group,” Ye Peitian said.
“As we go all the way, the people around you will inevitably come and go. Although we can get separated on the road, we will be able to meet again in the future, while some people will be left halfway forever by us.” Chu Qianxun looked at the cluster of ice crystals on the paper and said, “I have no ability to protect everyone. I can only use my knowledge to urge everyone, hoping that no more friends will be left behind in the future.”
Ye Peitian looked down at her, and only said a few words softly, “I will help you, Qianxun.”
Chu Qianxun raised her head to look at him, her eyes moved slightly, and she suddenly smiled, “I’m injured. I need to use special medicine.”
Ye Peitian’s expression softened. He leaned down and offered his own kiss.
It was not his first time to get close to Qianxun, but his heart was still beating violently. The speed was so fast that it made him feel like the whole heart was about to burst out of his chest.
When Qianxun’s hand climbed on his neck, her fingers inserted into the hair on the back of his head, and his head was pressed down, Ye Peitian felt that he was lost in the vortex of happiness.
He didn’t know how long it took, the two gasped slightly and separated, Chu Qianxun licked his lips, “The taste is so good, I quickly recovered.”
Ye Peitian’s complexion turned red.
“Peitian, Yan Xue told me that you gave her a bottle of special medicine.”
Ye Peitian didn’t speak, and acquiesced.
“Do you know that your ability is a huge business opportunity in the eyes of some people, and it is full of tempting benefits? They may harm you.” Chu Qianxun stretched out her hand and stroked his hair, “You promise me not to let people know your secret, even our own teammates.”
“I understand what you mean,” Ye Peitian lowered his head slightly, he did not respond directly to Chu Qianxun.
He was a soft and kind-hearted man. He had encountered such malice from the same kind, but still had not lost his pure goodness.
Chu Qianxun’s fingers slowly glided across the handsome eyebrows, looking at the man’s lowered eyes. His complexion was reddish, and the corners of his mouth raised a smile.
She couldn’t help but think of the same face in her previous life, facing the hostility of the whole world, laughing lonely and crazily in yellow sand.
She would never let him encounter something like that again. Chu Qianxun gritted her teeth and thought, ‘As long as I am here, I won’t let those perverted fingers even touch him.’
At the same time, somewhere on the base, a middle-aged man in uniform over fourty was sitting at a large desk.
He was sitting upright with a stern face, turning the pages of the documents in his hand, and his brows were deeply locked, “Can such a girl have the strength to fight Meng Rongxuan?”
“Although that demon had never appeared before, she could silently fight at least a third-order demon, and maybe even fourth-order. She caught up and solved it. Junan, your nephew Fu Guoxu didn’t even have time to take action.”
Standing opposite the man was Zuo Liangcai, the leader of the rescue team from the island.
The man who asked was Fu Jianjun, the leader of the base.
“It’s a good thing to have more masters in the base. I need to have the opportunity to meet her.” Fu Jianjun squeezed his brows, “So there are fourth-order demons? A few days ago, Meng Rongxuan’s team also reported that they found a fourth-order demon. Even ‘Thundercloud Mercenary Corps’ is not the demon’s opponent.”
“The demons outside are indeed getting stronger, but some people in our base are still fighting with their ridiculous little power. They are completely ignorant of your painstaking efforts.” Zuo Liangcai lowered his voice with hatred, “Cai Jiaquan and those people are getting more excessive. Commander, you don’t have to keep tolerating him.”

obviously, to be an effective leader in times of Apocalypse, you need to sacrifice useless piece.. better throw that Cai and his gang to face off that 4th order demon and don’t give a backup.
let people call you ruthless but let them taste order and stability in times of crisis.
you see , our previous President in our country is like that ..maybe not totally but sort of. He didn’t care if people call him ruthless but for those 6 yrs he is in position, we tasted order and stability in times of before and after pandemic. I totally don’t like that person but he has done what he needs to do. Although some of his minions are annoying even until now.
