Apocalypse Arrival - Chapter 10
“Qianxun, Qianxun, it’s the end of the world, but you still have the mood to sit here and play on the computer?”
Gan Xiaodan and Han Xuan each entered the dormitory carrying a shopping bag.
They were talking about the end of the world happily, but in fact their hearts were vaguely filled with excitement about special events that could happen in ordinary life.
After all, except for a huge moon hung in the sky and a rain of crystals, the world had not changed.
Chu Qianxun gave a hum.
She kept using the time to download some potentially useful materials. She also held the phone on her shoulder and was talking with her aunt’s family.
“Xunxun, you wait in the dormitory obediently. Me and your uncle will come to Huacheng to pick you up.”
The conversation on the other end of the phone was exactly the same as in her previous life.
“Auntie, I’ll say it again. Close all doors, windows, and curtains immediately. Just stay in the house. Remember not to go anywhere, and don’t open the door no matter who comes, understand? I will come to you from Huacheng.”
“Xunxun, what are you talking about, brother will drive,” her cousin grabbed the phone.
“Brother Xiangyang.” Chu Qianxun interrupted him, “Don’t come here, I won’t be in school when you come. You guard the house, guard aunt and uncle. Trust me, I will definitely be able to return to Ludao. As long as you are still there, I can find you.”
“Don’t trust anyone. Don’t help anyone. Don’t let people see the food. Wait for me to come home.”
“Brother, you must remember that in the doomsday, the most terrifying thing is not demons, but the human’s heart.”
“Look…find…”
There was a noise on the other end of the phone and the signal was interrupted.
Chu Qianxun was silent for a moment, then put down the phone.
Han Xuan put the shopping bag on the table, “Ah Xun, why are you so leisurely? Everyone is talking about doomsday. You don’t know how terrifying the supermarket is now. Xiaodan and I finally bought many things. I’m afraid you won’t be able to buy anything if you rush there now.”
She pulled out a pack of five bags of instant noodles from the bag, took out two packs, and handed them to Chu Qianxun, “Here, I’ll give you a little bit. In order to grab this, I almost got into a fight with an aunt.”
Gan Xiaodan grinned and took out a few apples, “I also grabbed apples. One person gets two.”
Chu Qianxun took the apple, wiped it on her clothes, and took a bite.
“Eh, eh, this is for you to eat when there is nothing to eat. Why are you eating it now?”
“Eat it, the fruit is too heavy for you to take with you,” Chu Qianxun nibbled the apple in one hand, opened the curtain on the bed with the other hand, and took four big bags from the bed.
“One for each person. Put it in your own bag and keep it aside. It’s a little of everything. It’s a waste of energy to carry heavy things.”
Han Xuan and Gan Xiaodan curiously turned over the bag that Chu Qianxun gave them.
“Oh, there are medicines and compressed biscuits. When did you go out and buy them, Ah Xun?”
“God, I dare not use such a sharp knife. There is also a small blanket. Oh you are awesome.”
While they were discussing in a whisper, Chu Qianxun had eaten the apple in a few bites.
She methodically put on a jacket, a pair of military short boots, a pair of black gloves and a sports watch.
She tied a soft blue elastic on her head, picked up a pair of scissors, and cut her hair without hesitation, leaving only a short hair behind.
When He Mingyan entered the door, Chu Qianxun was on the edge of the bed tying her shoelaces.
“Oh, Qianxun, why did you cut your hair?” He Mingyan touched the short hair and said, “This is not good. You have to go to the barber shop to fix it.”
“Mingyan, have you bought anything?” Gan Xiaodan asked her.
“No, there were too many people, I couldn’t squeeze in,” He Mingyan smiled embarrassedly, and stroked her long hair.
Han Xuan said generously, “We will give you a little bit. Qianxun has prepared something for everyone. Take it quickly.”
“Ah no, thank you. Xie Xiaobin said that he has a lot of food. I will go with him,” He Mingyan’s complexion turned slightly red.
Xie Xiaobin was her boyfriend. He was one year older than them, from a well-off family, and rented a house outside school.
He Mingyan got a few pieces of clothing, put them in a pink sheepskin embroidered satchel, carried them and walked out.
Chu Qianxun took her arm, “Stay in the dormitory, Ming Yan.”
“But Xiaobin is waiting for me downstairs,” He Mingyan said with an embarrassed expression. She pushed Chu Qianxun’s hand, and refused.
Chu Qianxun looked at her for a while, and finally let go of her arm.
“That’s fine, but take these with you.”
Chu Qianxun picked up the sports backpack she bought, packed the supplies for one person, snapped the zipper, and handed it to He Mingyan.
He Mingyan hesitated for a moment, and then took it over, “Well, thanks Qianxun. I was very scared when that thing appeared in the sky. I will stay with Xiaobin for two days. If there is nothing wrong, I will come back.”
“Take care, Mingyan.” Chu Qianxun patted her shoulder, “Remember to rely on yourself when it is critical. Don’t think about relying on others.”
Chu Qianxun said these words very sincerely, but He Mingyan felt a little uncomfortable.
She left the dormitory to live with her boyfriend. She was a little embarrassed when she faced her roommate. Hearing Chu Qianxun’s words, she felt that Chu Qianxun was laughing at her for relying on a man. She was very unhappy in her heart.

When the brain turned offline (for various reasons), words of concern and sincere advice would sound like degrading and/or sarcastic words. Even a best friend would seems like a fake white lotus.
