“It turns out that the difference between the schools is so big,” the cripped man was near the magic circle. His face was blackened by smoke and his eyebrows were mostly burnt. He looked at his apostle who had been captured in midair, feeling disheartened. He pleaded for mercy, “I ask the girl to forgive me.”

“You tell me first, why do you want to catch my apostle?”

“I want the Lynx’s eyes. I lack this pair of eyes to refine the mirror to illuminate the real body of the demon. If you were willing to sell it to me, I could not only produce enough spiritual jade, but also give you Kang Ju’s hair. That’s a good thing for refining the Soul Rescue Order.”

Yuan Xiang was angry that she used a spell twenty times to crush his bones and make him vomit blood.

“He is a demon and your apostle. He is just like a cow or horse. Why are you so angry?” The cripple spat blood from his mouth. His facial muscles trembled, “Could it be that you, a human being, sympathize with these demons?”

“They are not goods, nor are they cows or horses. Like us, they have flesh and blood. They can speak and think. How can you do such a cruel thing?”

“Don’t you know that these demons are our natural enemies?” The cripple buried in the ground became angry, with a distorted face, “They feed on humans. They are strong and have no emotions. They can easily destroy your village, your parents, your family, we are just like ants to them. You are protecting demons? Haha, ridiculous. There are still human beings pitying demons in this world.”

Perhaps it was the demon who destroyed his home. This person had an irreconcilable contradiction with demons.

Yuan Xiang rubbed her eyebrows. Knowing that because of their different thinking, it would probably not be possible to convince him.

She could only sigh, “Human beings have good and evil, so are demons. There are vicious ones and naturally there are friendly ones. We couldn’t generalize. We are the same, killing people, destroying cities and doing more. Aren’t they like humans?”

Cripple snorted coldly, “I don’t care. I only know that they took my leg and everything I have. I will never forgive these beasts in my life.”

Yuan Xiang was silent, looking at the man who hated demons on the ground and Kang Ju, who had been bruised by long-term abuse.

“Well, if you unlock your apostle’s contract, I will let you go.”

“Impossible… Ugh!” Before the man had time to yell, the loose soil around him tightened, pulling him toward the bottom of the earth a little bit.

And the woman who cast the spell stood indifferently in front of him, waiting for him to make a choice,

“I…I’ll let it go, I will unlock the contract. Forgive me, spare my life,” he was about to be drowned in soil and had to give in. He finally agreed to unlock the contract that had been enslaving Kang Ju.

The cripple was released from the ground. His mouth was full of blood and he stared angrily at Kang Ju who was let down from Nan He’s mouth.

He chanted the mantra to restore Kang Ju’s freedom.

“Beast, I let you go. I let you go…” The cripple spat out blood and passed out.

Kang Ju silently looked at his former owner who had fallen on the ground. This human being was full of malice toward him and tortured him for a long time.

The wind blew his smooth long hair and the hair fluttered, bringing a trace of sadness to the pale face.

Yuan Xiang looked at the scars exposed on his arm, where old and new marks were covered in layers, apparently suffering from inhuman torture and abuse all the year round.

“Do you hate humans?” Yuan Xiang couldn’t help asking him.

The demon with long black hair nodded.

“Do you want him to die?” Yuan Xiang pointed to the cripple who passed out on the ground.

Kang Ju thought for a while and slowly shook his head, “No, I don’t want him to die.”

“Many years ago, I was still a pony. I went to a human village to play and met a little boy.” Kang Ju looked at the ground, the middle-aged man with a hostile face even in a coma, “It was a barren and comfortable little village. Every time I went, the boy was very happy. He gave me a candy that he couldn’t bear to eat and smiled so happily.”

He looked up at Yuan Xiang. His expression seemed to be confused, “But one day, I slept for a long time and I went to him when I woke up. He no longer remembered me and his appearance had changed a lot. With a leg, he only eagerly asked me to be his apostle.”

“I agreed to be his apostle, but he shaved off my hair, locked my neck to prevent me from resisting, beat me day and night, never showed me the smile again, never asked me to eat candy again.”

He lowered his head and showed his body, turning into an ugly horse without hair, “I don’t like humans anymore. I plan to go back to the spirit world. I won’t come to you either.”

When he spread his wings and was about to fly away, Yuan Xiang called him, “Hey, wait a minute.”

Yuan Xiang handed him a bag of sweet-scented osmanthus candy that she had just bought, “It doesn’t matter if you don’t like humans, it doesn’t matter if you don’t come to the world. Since you like sweets, I will give you this bag of sweets. Go back, eat slowly, sleep well again and forget everything in the world.”

Kang Ju’s hoofs were planted on the ground and he stretched out his head to grab the bag of candies. He turned his head, glanced at Nan He and Wu Yuan, then he flew into the sky.

“I really envy you,” his dull voice came from the air.

Yuan Xiang looked up at the sky for a long time, until the little black shadow completely disappeared in the sun.

She thought about it and took out a broken golden ball from her arms, “Dingzhou is so big. There must be a lot of jewelry shops. I want to find a well known one and fix this.”

Nan He, who was regaining his human form, turned to look at her, “Yan Nu’s golden ball?”

Yan Nu was a well-known great demon in the Celestial Wolf mountain. She always played with a golden ball and Nan He recognized it at a glance.

“Yes, I played with her once. I think she looks lonely. If I see her next time, I can at least return her toy to her.”
