In the depths of Celestial Wolf mountain, withered pine hung, huge boulders and the snow-covered mountain tops were silvery white.
On the steep rock wall, under the knotted pine branches, a small figure stood motionless on a slightly protruding rock. He had silvery white hair that almost blended with the surrounding snow, making it difficult for the enemy’s eyes to distinguish.
He didn’t know how long he had been lurking there but a thick layer of snow accumulated on his body and on top of his head. Yet he didn’t move, condensed his aura and slowed his breathing, just like a rock that had grown on that cliff. Only that pair of amber eyes that moved occasionally, stared at a cave open in the cliff appeared.
That was the nest of a Haoran bird. This demon beast had a beautiful golden-red feather. It had three heads which could emit a lot of hot flames at the same time. The flames were extremely hot and could almost melt mountain stones. It was a dangerous and powerful enemy.
The more powerful they were, the more Nan He’s blood boiled. Their Sirius family was born with warlike blood.
He was eager to try and wanted to kill this powerful beast and get its demon pill. He could step into the skeletal phase in one fell swoop and start sprinting toward becoming a truly powerful adult Sirius.
For that reason, he transformed into the most inconspicuous form of a young wolf and quietly climbed up the cliff under the cover of wind and snow. He lurked there with extreme patience for two full days and waited until the Haoran Bird returned to the nest. He was already very hungry and cold, but he couldn’t move yet. He had to be patient, just to wait for an opportunity, the best time to attack.
The Haoran bird stretched out three heads from the cave and looked around. It had just caught a bison demon, swallowed its demon pill and had a good meal. At the moment, he was a little sleepy and wanted to sleep in the lair while digesting the aura of bison in the body.
There was no demon beast more ferocious than him in the surrounding area. It was his territory. There was only a smooth and steep cliff. His nest was the place that was most reassuring. In the howling cold wind, his three majestic heads finally closed their eyes one by one.
Just when he closed the last pair of eyes, a small white figure jumped up from the edge of the cave, the young body transformed into a huge silver Sirius. The silver light circulated and the galloping giant wolf pounced on the unaware golden-red bird in the cave. His sharp front paws pressed on his shoulders and his teeth snapped one of the bird’s necks.
Haoran woke up and struggled. The remaining heads made a sharp cry and turned around and spewed out hot flames.
The raging flames rushed out of the cave, reflecting the entire snow-capped mountain wall red.
The stars in the sky were shining and the sky curtain seemed to be moved. Suddenly, the starlight fell from the sky. The magical rain of stars fell into the cave and the majestic mountain top was intertwined with a vast sky-like star map.
Those scorching flames that could burn everything disappeared as if swallowed by the stars.
The screams of the bird and the low howls of wolf echoed from the mountain walls.
Among the hundreds of thousands of mountains, a woman’s leisurely voice sounded from the abyss, “It’s the natural ability of the Sirius tribe, the power of the stars. The little wolf is about to reach adulthood and can already use his unique natural ability. He must be found as soon as possible.”
Another hoarse voice responded to her, “What are you afraid of? He is still a weak little wolf. Watch me grab him and tear his body, just in time for us to taste the pure Sirius flesh and blood.”
In the darkness, there came a baby-like cry and a weird child’s voice, “Hey, don’t be careless. Sirius are the former Demon Kings of this land. After only one or two hundred years, did you forget the fear they graved inside of us when they ruled? I don’t want to crawl under someone’s feet anymore. I must snap his neck immediately now.”
Nan He dragged his scarred body to climb up the huge ancient tree and fell into the hidden hole of the tree into the bottom with a bang. Four or five golden red feathers were scattered around him. In one place, a demon inner core with flaming light rolled among those feathers.
The silver Sirius laid at the bottom of the dark cave for a while, barely opened his eyes, stretched out his tongue to roll the red demon inner core into his mouth and swallowed it.
The sunlight came in obliquely from the high hole, hitting the golden feathers scattered on the ground.
If he gave these feathers to her, would she like it?
Nan He knew that human beings liked brightly colored things, such as flowers and grass, shiny brocade and metal. Sometimes they would like weird things, such as mushrooms, plant rhizomes stained with mud, which was difficult to understand.
But fortunately, that person was a bit like him. She liked fresh, tender, juicy lamb and sweet things. She could cleverly make the meat more delicious and refreshing.
When Nan He thought of that, he swallowed his saliva. His empty stomach became even more uncomfortable. He hadn’t eaten for a long time, but at the moment, he didn’t have the strength to get up and go outside to hunt even an ordinary beast.
There was a fierce pain in his back and legs. Nan He glanced back and saw that a large area of his back burned. The original beautiful silver hair fell out, revealing bloody skin. He wanted to lick it with his tongue, but he couldn’t reach it.
Such an ugly appearance, fortunately, did not appear in front of that person. She liked beautiful hair so much. If she saw the ugly scene, she would definitely dislike him even more.
Moreover, she already had a handsome lynx, a black dog that was so obedient and a chicken that he didn’t know about.
Why was he always thinking about what that human being did? Nan He spurned himself.
‘Yes, I received her favor and felt ashamed. So I just want to repay her kindness.’
It must be so.
He drooped his ears and closed his amber eyes.
The Haoran’s core spread in the abdomen and a large amount of Qi rushed into the limbs and bones. Each meridian was impacted by the surging Qi, swelling and pulsating. That power was so strong that it almost tore his spiritual veins and destroyed his body.
