Demon King's Repayment - chapter 43
Yuan Xiang was making the cat litter while thinking half-heartedly about the arrogant and unkind little wolf.
The rattan ball clanged to the side of the tree and a pair of small hands stretched out from behind the tree, trying to pick it up.
Wu Yuan rushed over, grabbed his ball and hunched over at the dressed chicken behind the tree trunk and let out a demonstrative low growl.
“Don’t be like this. Wu Yuan, it is more fun to play with toys with friends.”
Yuan Xiang brought a polished wooden board to the tree, dug a hole in the dirt with a shovel, buried a support and then fixed the center of the wooden board to the support.
“Come on, the seesaw requires two people to play, you guys give it a try.”
When Yuan Xiang stepped back a few steps, Wu Yuan sat on the end of the wooden board, occupying his place.
After a while, the long-necked chicken in cyan clothes cautiously leaned out from behind the tree. With his hands in his sleeves, he slowly moved to the end of the wooden board. Wu Yuan was taken aback, meowed. He turned around in mid-air, turning into a young boy with a red rope braided in his hair and a long tail flying in the air. The boy fell from the air, sat fiercely on one end of the wooden board and bounced the long-necked chicken on the opposite side into the sky as well.
Seeing the chicken poking arms in the air, the cat-eared boy sneered, “Hahaha, look at you, do you dare to trick the young master again?”
“Hide your human figure. Don’t show your ears and tail and scare my Shiniang,” Yuan Xiang left two mischievous beings playing by themselves while focusing on building the small house.
When Yun Niang heard a knock on the door outside the courtyard, she ran all the way through the courtyard to answer the door and saw an empty seesaw swinging up and down.
“When did you make such a toy? It’s really interesting. It moves on it’s own,” Yun Niang said with a smile.
There were often some strange phenomena around Yuan Xiang. But Yun Niang was accustomed to it and never asked and did not interfere. She let her feel free growing up in the house.
“Oh, it’s you again. Please come in. Xian’ger is here today,” Yun Niang’s voice sounded outside the door.

Outside the courtyard, a woman with neatly combed hair, spoke to Yun Niang in a graceful manner, “Excuse me, this is what I made by myself.” She politely handed the gift she was carrying to Yun Niang and nodded to Yuan Xiang.
“You’re so polite. Why do you bring things every time you come here?” Yun Niang reached out and took it; It was a basket of winter bamboo shoots.
Yuan Xiang let Ah Teng into her house and entertained her with tea.
“Ah Teng, where do you live now? How come you came today?”
“I originally lived on the mountain quietly by myself and didn’t want to set feet in this sad world again.” Ah Teng was holding a teacup and drinking tea, while eating snacks gracefully. One couldn’t see her sad appearance.
“A few days ago, I was wandering in the mountains and accidentally picked up a human cub. He looked miserable and very pitiful, so I took him back to the lair. He was a bit sick, so I came to look for you for a healing charm.”
“Human cub? Isn’t it a lost child? You should send him back.”
“But he said that his parents were both dead after sickness. His relatives tortured him and sent him into the deep mountains in order to seize the property.” Ah Teng innocently stretched out a finger to support her chin, “I think he looks very cute. Since he is a cub that nobody wants, I decided to keep him by my side as a pet.”
Yuan Xiang covered her forehead, “How can you raise a human as a pet?”
“Why not?” Ah Teng didn’t quite understand, “You can raise a wolf cub.”
“How can it be the same?” Yuan Xiang was dumbfounded but she couldn’t tell the reason for the difference for a long time. She thought about it and said, “Look at it, the life span of human beings is so short. If you keep him by your side, it will be cute for a while. Then the child would become a handsome man. Before you had time to be happy, his face would become wrinkled and rotted into the dirt. You will spend a long time raising him but get such an ending, isn’t it uncomfortable?”
Ah Teng blinked, “That’s right. Then when he gets better, I’d better send him back. By the way, what about your little Sirius? Why don’t you raise him, instead you want this little wild cat with no hair as an apostle?”
She looked disgustedly at the cat boy who sat at the table fiercely.
Hearing that, Wu Yuan stood up. His eyes showed golden vertical pupils and his sharp teeth were exposed to her.
Yuan Xiang was too late to stop him. The dignified An Teng transformed into a demon with a human face and a snake body. With six eyes open, she opened her mouth wide.
Wu Yuan uttered a meow and was so scared that he instantly changed back to his original form and ran behind Yuan Xiang shivering.
“Okay, okay. Don’t bully him, he is still a child,” Yuan Xiang stopped the snake demon with one hand and protected her kitten with the other and took him outside to play.
“Really, look, he’s useless.” Ah Teng returned to her original form, reached out and touched her hair triumphantly and adjusted her clothes, “Tell me, did you get tricked by this cat demon? Did his beauty confuse you so you changed your mind after seeing different things and left Xiao Nan?”
Yuan Xiang laughed, “What nonsense are you talking about. Xiao Nan didn’t want to be my apostle and left by himself.”
“Left, are you stupid?” Ah Teng stretched out her green finger to point at her head, “Why don’t you even have common sense? The Sirius tribe is an ancient beast with noble blood. “You listen to me.” Ah Teng rolled up her sleeves and gave her a bad idea, “Next time you see him, tie him to the ground by casting a magic circle and then force him to conclude the contract. He must be pushed halfway.”
Yuan Xiang held her stomach and laughed.

hahahah I LOVE AH TENG! Can she adopt me too that would be such a fun and interesting life in that kınd of world!
Also the seesaw part was so wholesome xD My imagination is quite strong and can almost picture the scene! Just like some Ghibli Studio movies.
