Chapter 62 – Unwelcome Guest

“I’ve never been into your house, why don’t you give me a tour me”

“There’ll be more guests later, it’s inconvenient to move around so let’s wait for them”

Shan Yijun and Fu Lihua were in an intense tug of war contest with Chen Daiyu’s hands. 

‘Isn’t he Daiyu’s cousin? They must’ve been playing by themselves all day! Unfair!!’

‘great, another persistent one’ 

Both glared at each other relentlessly. Chen Daiyu sighed and took her hands off them and held Huo Shanxi’s who was the only quiet one.

“Big brother Shanxi and I will stay and greet the guests. While big brother Yijun will give Lihua a tour around the mansion” Chen Daiyu smiled so sweetly that Fu Lihua was unable to turn her down. This is better, i don’t want rowdy kids, with Lihua around, brother Yijun would compete with her over everything… 

“A-alright!”

Shan Yijun found it cute, but was terrified by the hint of threat in her eye that was clearly directed at him. If he didn’t do what she said now she’ll probably ignore him again!

He said, “Yeah, sure…” 

Soon, more and more people came. The adults weren’t separated from the kids. Once the guest list was more or less complete, Chen Daiyu gathered the children and stood up at the platform that Chen Feng specifically prepared for her.

Chen Daiyu smiled gently “everyone, the toys here are for all of us to play with, breaking it is one thing but littering it around is another. Please do not place the toys just anywhere as the adults may encounter accidents.”

Because she’s cute and kind in the eyes of her peers, she’s well liked by almost everyone in her class. So everyone listened to her.

“Okay!”

“Come play with us!”

“Let’s eat some cakes!”

Although Chen Daiyu is the smallest, everyone treated her like their big sister and would listen to her obediently.

Huo Shanxi would help her with maintaining order around the children, which lessened Chen Daiyu’s workload.

Chen Daiyu was really grateful for having a more mature child like Huo Shanxi be around and help her out. She knew absolutely nothing about children. All she knew was how to coax them into following her lead. That’s why almost all her friends thought she was soft hearted and needed to be protected.

After touring around the house, it was Fu Lihua and Shan Yijun’s turn to greet late guests.

“I think that’s all of them,” Fu Lihua said.

“Mhmm” Shan Yijun only replied with a hum, which earned him a disdainful glance from Fu Lihua.

“What are you acting aloof for? You’re not cool! hmph!” Fu Lihua said, she flung her sleeves and turned to walk away.

Embarrassed from having been seen through, Shan Yijun argued, “ Aren’t you doing the same?!” and followed her in.

As the servants were about to close the door, a loud screech halted in front of the door. Fu Lihua and Shan Yijun stopped their tracks and turned around almost at the same time.

There was a blindingly red car now parked in the driveway, although Fu Lihua couldn’t recognize the brand, Shan Yijun did. It was one of the new BMW series that has just been released. There were only 20 of them produced world wide. 

A man came out in a formal yet humble suit from the car, went to the passenger seat and opened the door.

From it, came out Du Lin who wore an eye-piercing red suit and combed back hair.

Fu Lihua and Shan Yijun froze, their eyes were blinded from the ugly kid’s suit. almost as if they understood each other, They moved at the same time and ushered the servants to move aside.

“Hurry up! close the door!”

“Move aside! you’re so slow!”

Fu Lihua and Shan Yijun took each side and tried to close the double doors as quickly as possible. 

Du Lin was walking up slowly with his flamboyant suit, when he noticed their action, he threw away his dramatic entrance and ran to them at full speed! Otherwise he would not be able to go to the party at all!
