Bizzare Love - chapter 6
As soon as Meng Ting came in, many people in the class greeted her.
“Good morning, Meng Ting.”
“Good morning.”
She was the monitor of the English class.
Everyone knew that her family had been misfortuned recently. She was in a car accident with her mother. She got blind and her mother died. But because of her excellent grades, she was sent to the No. 7 middle school by her original junior high school. She came first in every exam, except for ones she missed due to surgery. She was an inspirational figure.
So when she went to school with her blind cane and sunglasses, no one laughed at her.
Right from the start, they were very friendly to her.
There was a boy with glasses who was her deskmate. Shy, he didn’t usually communicate with the people in class and studied very hard but his marks weren’t great.
The girl at the front desk turned her head excitedly: “Meng Ting!”
Meng Ting curled her lips into a smile. She felt a little nostalgic. Her tone was as gentle as the March wind: “Zhao Nuancheng.”
Zhao Nuancheng brushed her hair that had been tossed by the morning breeze and said: “Meng Ting, remember to apply for a scholarship, the form is out.” She knew that Meng Ting’s family situation was not good. She felt sorry for the poor girl.
“Yes.”
The first class was given by the class teacher Tang Xiaoli. She was a Chinese teacher with an intellectual temperament.
Meng Ting listened carefully to the familiar knowledge and slowly wrote notes.
She held the pen unfamiliarly, but she was very serious.
The boy, Hong Hui, her deskmate, couldn’t help but look at what she wrote. He was thirsty for knowledge and was anxious to improve his marks. He happened to be sitting next to the number one and secretly took glances at her notes.
Meng Ting sensed his gaze and revealed the book.
Her clean and soft temperament embarrassed Hong Zhi. No wonder so many people thought Meng Ting was nice, she was really gentle and lovely.
After a class, Meng Ting finally found some feeling of going to high school again.
The tables and fans were old because of lack of funding in the No. 7 Middle School for the year. The chair was not firm and it creaked at every little movement.
The only brand new thing in the classroom was the blackboard in front of the classroom.
These facilities make everyone feel that there was a big gap between their school and Licai.
After all, the vocational high school next door had already installed air conditioning and heating.
People felt comfortable in hot summer and cold winter too.
The gap between the rich and the poor was so big.
The first class ended, but something went wrong in the school.
There was noise outside and Meng Ting sat on a stool. After a while, Zhao Nuancheng came in. She looked excited about the gossip: “Shen Yuqing from Class 14 is going to the vocational high school. She isn’t in class, guess why?”
Meng Ting’s heart sighed.
For what? What could it be, course, it was because of Jiang Ren.
Sure enough, Zhao Nuancheng said: “It is for a boy in a vocational high school. Look at her arrogant appearance. She earned the title of a school flower and no one can look down on it.
Now she is going to fight with a vocational high school girl for the boy.”
Liu Xiaoyi at the back table also heard it and interjected: “That’s because that boy had a tough background.”
Jiang Ren entered Licai Vocational High in September. He was very famous over there, but the good students in the No. 7 middle school rarely knew him.
Zhao Nuancheng rolled her eyes and said with the superiority of a good student: “How powerful can he be, can he possibly be a chaebol?”
Liu Xiaoyi shrugged: “He really is, you know Junyang Group? The country’s largest real estate company? That’s his family.”
Zhao Nuancheng: “…Fuck.”
Liu Xiaoyi was at the forefront of the news age: “Last week he beat their class teacher till the teacher needed to be taken to the hospital and now he is still staying in school. Such a person, likes Shen Yuqing who doesn’t look good. Strange.”
When one is young, being arrogant is also a kind of capital.
Many students in the class gathered around:
“Why did he beat the teacher?”
“Wow, he dares to beat the teacher.”
“It’s great to be rich, so arrogant. One day society will teach you how to be a man.”
“What’s the big deal? If he didn’t work hard, he could still inherit the family property.”
The group of people laughed.
Amid the twittering, Meng Ting suddenly stood up.
Zhao Nuancheng quickly asked: “Meng Ting, where are you going?”
Meng Ting frowned. This had nothing to do with her, but she knew who the current school flower Shen Yuqing was going to find, her sister Shu Lan.
She didn’t want to worry about Shu Lan anymore, but Father Shu’s instructions that morning were still in her ears.
Father Shu was getting old and his health was getting worse. Sometimes he did not pay attention to work in the laboratory, radiation could destroy him. He had been worrying about his children all his life. It could be said that he died for Meng Ting.
Meng Ting turned around and said to Zhao Nuancheng, “I’m not feeling well, can you ask the teacher for a leave for me?”
Zhao Nuancheng nodded quickly.
Meng Ting walked to the gate of the school, but the guard refused to let her go out. She rarely lied, but thinking of everything she would face if she didn’t stop her, she pointed to her eyes:
“Uncle, my eyes are uncomfortable.”
The guard knew her. The well-behaved and inspirational girl who was famous in the school. So he let her go.
The vocational school next door was much easier to enter. When Meng Ting walked to the door of Class 28, the classroom was noisy.
