He was panting, his forehead was sweaty and his eyes were surprisingly dark.

Meng Ting leaned back on the bare branches and looked at Jiang Ren with some irritation.

Why was he crazy?!

“What are you doing?”

The wind mixed with the smell of her body entered into his lungs arbitrarily and he put his hand on the willow tree behind her, trapping her. He looked at her without blinking but didn’t speak.

This posture was very shameful and popular by the year she died. But this year was conservative and few people had done this.

Meng Ting reached out and pulled his arm.

The boy had strong arms with black and white wristbands. She didn’t show any mercy and feared that he would like her, so she used her full strength to push. Her face turned red, but he did not move manually.

She was so angry! This crazy person?

“Crazy” person watched her die struggling silently and suddenly smiled. Jiang Ren couldn’t help her move: “Meng Ting.”

She raised her eyes, which were flushed with anger.

Like the gorgeous peach blossoms at the end of her eyes, it was so beautiful.

“Why lie to me?”

She looked at him puzzledly and her clean eyes directly expressed her thoughts- when did I lie to you?

Jiang Ren smiled softly: “You said you look like the one in your student ID.” He looked at her with a bit of impudence, “You’re so pretty, were you afraid of what I would do to you?”

Meng Ting finally remembered that she had indeed lied to him. She said that her eye injury was scary, just like the student ID. Jiang Ren believed her at that time.

She was a little embarrassed when her lie was exposed. She got out of the boy’s sturdy arms.

Her face burned red: “Jiang Ren, you can speak, don’t move your hands and feet.”

Meng Ting didn’t want to talk to him. She was in a complicated and bad mood and wanted to run outside without saying a word.

He saw the water in her arms and smiled a little badly: “Fuck, run away with Lao Zhi’s money? What about the change of a hundred yuan?”

Only then did Meng Ting remember such a thing. Her mind was messed up and she quickly took a look in her pocket, with eighty-six yuan left. She neatly folded it and placed it in the palm of the teenager.

Meng Ting explained earnestly: “Two yuan for water and 12 yuan for the towel.”

She was afraid that he would not believe that the prices this year were far less expensive than later generations. That towel was worth three or four yuan at most. However, the basketball game made the vendors drive up prices crazily.

He looked at the white and soft hand.

The money she had touched seemed to have brought the girl’s breath.

Meng Ting gave him the water and he took it.

Then she whispered: “Towel…” It was soiled by her and Jiang Ren used it to wipe the water drops on her body and hair. It was also held tightly in her hand.

“The money for the towel, I will pay you another day.”

He couldn’t help but curve his lips: “No, just give me this.”

She hesitated to hand it to him but it was his.

Meng Ting breathed a sigh of relief and finally had nothing to do with him.

She turned and walked towards the school gate and her back quickly disappeared from the campus.

Jiang Ren leaned against the tree, looked at her back, unscrewed the bottle cap and took a few mouthfuls.

He moved uncontrollably and the mineral water ran down his chin, passing through his Adam’s apple and wetting his collar.

When He Junming and the others came over, they hadn’t recovered much.

The heat after the game hadn’t passed and the group hadn’t even wiped their sweat, before they followed Jiang Ren to find the girl. He Junming went to pull the towel in Jiang Ren’s hand: “It’s so hot, let me wipe my sweat.”

Jiang Ren separated his hand with a water bottle: “Get away, don’t get it dirty.”

He Junming was speechless. So fucking poisonous. Wasn’t the towel to wipe sweat?

He Han couldn’t help asking, “Brother Ren, was that Meng Ting just now?”

Jiang Ren said “Um.”

He Junming finally confided his heart: “I thought Shen Yuqing in their No. 7 middle school was damn beautiful, but Meng Ting is better! Are all the people in their school blind? She has good grades, right? Lin Yue lost the competition to her. Her grades are great and she is beautiful.”

He completely forgot that he had laughed at Meng Ting’s eyes.

He Han tutted: “Forget it, she and Shen Yuqing are not the same kind of people.”

He Junming: “Yes, last time in Xiaogang City, she was about to cry. It’s boring, she can’t play this kind of fun game. She might look down on people like us more.”

Fang Tan’s heart jumped and when he looked over, the smile on Jiang Ren’s face was gone.

He obviously remembered what they had done before, on mountain motorcycles they snatched her things, forcibly took her to Xiaogang City. The girl was humiliated and cried.

Meng Ting got strange after seeing them.

And people with good grades always had a sense of superiority. Weren’t they used to it?

He Junming, the second fool, wanted to lament but heard a “boom”, Jiang Ren threw the empty bottle into the trash can. Holding his towel, he walked away without saying a word.

Fang Tan slapped He Junming on the back: “You, didn’t you see that Brother Ren’s face was not right?”

He Junming said blankly: “Huh?”

When Meng Ting returned home on the weekend, Shu Zhitong saw that she was not wearing glasses and the man got excited: “Your eyes?”

Shu Yang raised his head. It was unexpectedly a good thing. Why didn’t Meng Ting tell his father?

Meng Ting nodded.

Father Shu said incoherently: “It’s good.”

She was a little uncomfortable.

For two lifetimes, she respected and loved this great father, but she could no longer truly love this family. What Shu Lan did to her almost broke all the things she wanted to change.

Soon after, Shu Lan came back in embarrassment with palm prints on her face. Tears flowed down when she saw Father Shu and Shu Yang: “Dad, brother, I was bullied today.”

Father Shu’s face changed  and he pulled his daughter to see her injury: “Who did it?”

Shu Yang frowned, glanced at Meng Ting, but did not speak.
