Aria's Tales - 1.4

Mingyan was living alone near the center of the city. In Mingyan’s house, Shen Yan was waiting in the living room. He had already changed into a black short-sleeved velvet shirt with a white collar paired with khaki short pants and white shoes. He was lamenting about his inner demons.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Yesterday, he was forced to understand that his once adorable sister suddenly became a woman. He had not even finished building his defences yet when it had already fallen and crumbled. He almost couldn’t resist the urge to kiss her. It was too late for him to realize that he was weak to her cute voice, her teary eyes, and her spoilt acts. It was impossible to say no.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

His hand held his cheek as Mingyan’s voice repeated in his head. He wanted to hear her call him again. He was in the middle of devising a plan to make Mingyan speak when he heard the sound of heels clanking from the staircase. He looked up.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mingyan was wearing a short-sleeved white collared blouse paired with sky blue shorts and thick-heeled peach sandals. Her hazel hair draped down to her shoulders, and her make-up was light. When she saw Shen Yan staring at her blankly, she thought her outfit was wrong and wanted to run upstairs to change for the nth time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In Shen Yan’s head, he was cursing. Shit! Why is she wearing shorts?! Even though Mingyan was only about 5’2, her outfit made it seem like she had long legs. “Yanyan, don’t you have any pants?” Shorts should be banned in public! His heart was about to leap out of his chest.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mingyan was startled by his question before honestly shaking her head. She did have pants three years ago but her mother gradually changed everything in her wardrobe to dresses. It was only recently that she was finally able to buy shirts and shorts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Shen Yan’s head had black lines over them as he rattled his brain for a solution. Mingyan saw that he was so troubled by her outfit and finally thought of something. She ran back up and came back with a multi-layered fluffy skirt that reached just above her knees.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It was better than the short, but Shen Yan was still not satisfied. He decided to buy some pants for her later.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mingyan had already planned their date. They went to a plaza that was currently hosting a festival, then they went to a panda zoo and even got to shake hands with the pandas. On their last trip, they went to the newly opened cafe called, Pastel House. Their menu was filled with cutely decorated sweets and artistically designed lattes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

They both ordered two cat lattes and one bunny parfait that Mingyan was dying to eat. Since the seats were separated with rows of flowers that were more than half a person’s height, Shen Yan and Mingyan were isolated to themselves.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Shen Yan was facing a dilemma. All day long Mingyan had either been writing on his palm or was too obvious so he could understand and hadn’t talked at all. He didn’t want to force her but he really missed her voice.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“Yanyan are you tired?”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mingyan shook her head.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Shen Yan raised his hand to pet her head. “We haven’t seen each other for three years. Did you miss me?”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mingyan’s cheeks immediately had a red tint. She didn’t even hesitate and honestly nodded. She peaked at his expression and found that his lips had curled up into a slight smile. The sight of it made her heart beat so fast that she felt dizzy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lily: Here you go again. What heart beating so fast? What dizzy?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mingyan: Shush. Don’t distract my acting *winks*

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

She suddenly became very conscious of his gaze, and he didn’t seem to have any plan of looking away. Mingyan’s heart couldn’t take it. She suddenly stood up. “B-Bathroom.” Then she ran away.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The voice was fleeting and sweet but the words that were said didn’t match at all. Shen Yan laughed as she disappeared from the corner. The process was different from what he had in mind but the result was the same. He was satisfied.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“Mr. Shen, I never thought you’d be here.” A seductive voice emerged from the little entrance to their table. It was a beautiful girl wearing a body-hugging blue dress with a white jacket over her shoulders. Her red lips stretch into a wide smile.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Shen Yan frowned and turned to her. He didn’t conceal his dissatisfaction at getting disturbed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The lady stiffened awkwardly, but she didn’t want to lose to the chick she had just seen with him. She was more beautiful, so why can’t she be with this golden thigh called, Shen Yan?!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It was true that she was more beautiful than Mingyan, but would Shen Yan care about that? Currently, his heart was being tickled by feathers and was slowly falling to the point of no return. His good mood was suddenly shattered by this woman.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ever since his aunt had given him the company, he had to deal with the annoying bees every day. They were endless and stubborn even when he gave them the cold shoulder. He was beginning to think that they were all masochist!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“Mr. Shen don’t you remember me?” Her eyes fluttered suggestively while she pressed her lips. She believed no man would be able to resist.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Unfortunately, this was Shen Yan. “Scram!” Then he turned and forgot her existence.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The lady was so scared that she stumbled towards the opposite direction of her table. She saw Mingyan coming back and her eyes glowered with jealousy. She purposefully bumped the other’s shoulder.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mingyan was absentmindedly walking when her shoulder was bumped. She cried out in pain as her wound was disturbed. Tears started forming on the corner of her eyes. She moved her accusing gaze at the woman who didn’t even apologized but sneered instead.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“Yanyan what happened?!” Shen Yan had heard her cry and immediately came to the rescue. Mingyan turned to her Yan gege with a wronged expression and said, “She hit me.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The lady’s eyes almost popped out of their sockets. Hit you?! I only bumped into you!! Then, to her disbelief, on the sleeve near the shoulder of the girl she just bumped, blood started to spread. WTF?!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Shen Yan’s restrained murderous aura couldn’t be concealed this time and trapped the lady. He etched her face into his blacklist before quickly bringing Mingyan back to his car. He had to take care of her wound first.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The face Shen Yan had made spelled doom to the lady. Yet she still hadn’t noticed this.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Shen yan brought Mingyan back to her own house and immediately started to take care of her wound. He saw the bare bleeding gash, and he wished he could have been there to save her from getting shot. His treatment was incredibly gentle that Mingyan didn’t feel any sharp pain.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

While he was diligently treating her, she stole a couple of glances. She seemed restless as if she had something to say but wasn’t sure if she should. In the end, she wrote on his thighs as he was bandaging her.

He froze. Does she not know how dangerous the place she had written on?! His gaze, as he observed Mingyan, darkened. She seemed ignorant of the flame she accidentally stoked. “I came to the hospital right as I landed so I haven’t decided.” He spoke deeper than usual, scratching at Mingyan’s heart.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mingyan smiled excitedly. “Stay here?” Her eyes had stars in them and her cheeks were flushed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Shen Yan was defeated. Do you not have any defence at all?! For some reason, all he had been thinking all day were complaints to her ignorance. He worried about their future.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Seeing as though he neither rejected nor accepted her offer, Mingyan poked at his thighs twice then tilted her head. “Stay please?”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Shen Yan’s sanity was losing very quickly. He leaned over and left a fleeting kiss on her forehead. But that didn’t seem to bring back his lost sanity so he kissed both of her cheeks, and finally reigned in his desire to go for the lips. By the end of it, his voice was slightly hoarse. “I’ll take the guest room.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mingyan, whose face was beet red, nodded. She didn’t know how to continue after getting rained with kisses. But thankfully a doorbell saved her. She ran away again to open the door.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The person that came was a delivery guy from Pastel House who was holding a pink box. He said he was here to bring their orders to which Mingyan was shocked. All the way to here?!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“It was a request from Mr. Shen … Yan? Miss, please sign here.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mingyan was genuinely impressed. That’s right, her man should be as capable as this. She repeatedly nodded internally. She quickly signed the paper and brought the box inside with a wide smile.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“Yan ge! Yan ge! Our order is here!”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

That was the longest that Mingyan had ever spoken. Her face was literally shining as the sun that was setting, had its rays fixed at her face. Shen Yan could not take his eyes off of her – he didn’t even dare to blink. He wondered if he had not been blind before would he have seen her smile like this as well? He felt a pang of regret that he didn’t take the surgery earlier.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“Mmm, come here.” He pulled her gently to sit on his lap as he placed the box on the center table.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mingyan’s mind was suddenly filled with confetti.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

‘Waaaaaaah what is he doing?! What is he doing?!’ Lily was frantically running around throwing confetti bombs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mingyan was genuinely stunned. Okay, she understand that she could make guys go crazy for her. But was her prowess really this good?? Hadn’t he just started looking at her as a woman?? Help. I think my million-years-old CPU finally crashed. Her heart was slightly shaken, but she had to continue the act.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

She kept her arms close to her chest not knowing where else to place them. Her thoughts about eating the parfait had long been replaced by the fact that she was sitting in her Yan gege’s lap. Right when she thought he would not dare to take it another level, he wrapped his arms around her waist and secured her in place, then he started unwrapping the box.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Her waist couldn’t help but be set on fire. She nervously watched him take the still-perfect-looking parfait and cat lattes, carefully place them on the table one by one, and then turn to her with a seductive smile attached to his face.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

She had to complain. What are you doing seducing an innocent, more over ignorant, girl!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mingyan: *secretly delighted*

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lily: I don’t see any innocent girl…

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mingyan: What! Mingyan is very innocent! She doesn’t even know how it works!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lily: *facepalms*

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Shen Yan was watching the red-faced girl amusedly. He was original hopelessly trying to erect barriers to stop himself from going any further. But when he saw her bare wound and her bright smile as she calls him sweetly, he couldn’t even lift a hand to start building. He had to take the risk and bring their relationship a step further. He though about it and decided to probe her bottom line.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

He took a spoon and scooped some ice cream from the parfait, making a hole on the rabbit which was made out of ice cream, and brought it to her lips. His indication could never be more obvious.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The red-faced Mingyan blinked her eyes a couple of time to express her bewilderment and slowly opened her mouth.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Shen Yan successfully fed her.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

His heart was filled with sweetness that he couldn’t clearly describe. Does serving someone you like feel this good? He couldn’t believe he was taking pleasure from feeding Mingyan.
