Aria's Tales - 1.14

Mingyan’s answer finally brought Shen Yan’s panicking heart back into its calm state. He dived in for a deep kiss and didn’t stop until Mingyan patted his chest. Mingyan’s eyes were now glazed. They looked like stars sparkling in the galaxy.

“Yanyan did you know your eyes look like crystals?” Shen Yan couldn’t help himself but say. He always felt his rationality curbing whenever Mingyan looked at him with those eyes. Only when he used every bit of his mental strength could he keep a leash on his mind.

Mingyan tilted her head. In her current state, her brain couldn’t process anything because it was overflowing with balloons and confetti. The culprit, Lily, continued to pop them all over throwing Mingyan into confusion. She heard Shen Yan, but for some reason, she didn’t know how to react nor could she fully understand what he meant.

Shen Yan laughed at the cute absentminded girl in his lap. He gave her another kiss that landed on her hair and carried her in a princess style.

Mingyan subconsciously tightened her hold on Shen Yan’s neck when she felt herself floating. Then, before she could say anything, Shen Yan walked to the second floor. This time, he didn’t even glance at Mingyan’s room and took her directly in his self-proclaimed bedroom.

He made her sit on his bed before going to her room and bringing back a pink shirt and pink pyjamas. Mingyan wanted to comment that this gentleman really doesn’t like her wearing shorts. But she liked to use her legs to attack him, so before Shen Yan could hand over the clothes, she bolted to her room and carried a pink short close to her chest.

Shen Yan was speechless. And utterly helpless. “Can’t you wear this for tonight instead?” After having gotten Mingyan’s answer, he really wasn’t confident that he could hold himself back tonight.

Mingyan rattled her head left and right. Her clear eyes showing her stubbornness. Then, she took the clothes in Shen Yan’s hands and went to the bathroom to change. After about thirty minutes, she came back wearing the pink shirt and shorts with a rosy complexion and wet, dripping hair.

Shen Yan sharply inhaled, and his eyes darkened. He swept back his hair in frustration as he tried to hold himself back using every bit of his mental strength. Yanyan, can’t you be merciful? His heart was beating rapidly and his mind had long gone into the gutter.

Mingyan seemed like she didn’t notice his obvious internal struggle. She took the towel that surrounded her pale neck and presented it to Shen Yan. Her expression telling him that she wanted him to dry her hair.

Shen Yan’s fingers twitched. He didn’t want the towel. He wanted her.

He massaged the bridge of his nose first before reluctantly taking the towel. Since the floor was cold, he made Mingyan sit on the bed instead while he kneeled on the bed with one knee and started to dry her hair gently.

As he was rubbing her hair, he was constantly teased by the peaking pale neck – giving him the urge to kiss it ’till it’s red.

Mingyan could feel his burning stare on her back. She subtly leaned backwards and looked up to see his eyes flashing with lust. It instantly excited her. But her expression didn’t show any of it.

She blinked her big twinkling eyes in curiosity and pressed her lips. She looked like she was wondering why her Yan gege was looking at her like that. “Yan ge~?”

Finally, the last bit of his control snapped, and he pulled Mingyan into his lap while taking the red lips he had been fantasizing into his.

Mingyan looked surprised by the sudden sensation on her lips, but she didn’t struggle. Only when she felt Shen Yan’s tongue sliding on her throat, did she issued a moan. Her hands clutched on his shirt and trembled.

Mingyan: Lily quick! Shut all senses!!

Lily: *blushing frantically* Y- Y- Yes ma’am!!

Mingyan suddenly found the world turning upside down as she landed with a thump into the bed. When she looked up, she found herself staring at Shen Yan’s hungry gaze.

She had no idea how provocative her stares were. When Shen Yan found a bit of his rationality back after he pushed Mingyan, he was about to let her go. But her dazed stare had trapped him back into his desires. He could no longer hold back.

That night, the sound of the creaking of the bed and muffled noises filled the room. Mingyan finally got what she had always wanted. And though, Shen Yan had been impressive in his control, he had always wanted it more than Mingyan.

So that two cooperated until dawn when the birds were tweeting their morning greetings.

Shen Yan walked out of the bathroom in his white pyjamas while his chest was bare. His eyes were narrowed in satisfaction. When he looked up, he found Mingyan wrapped up like a cocoon with the blanket while only showing her red-faced head. She looked like she couldn’t believe what happened. She looked really cute with her blushing face. But the fact that he knew she was wearing nothing under those blankets made him aroused again.

“Yanyan how do you feel?” He pulled the cocooned girl in his embrace. Since she had wrapped herself thoroughly, she had nowhere to escape.

“I- I- um-” Her blush deepened in shade when the scenes from last night flashed back to her mind. She remembered her embarrassing sounds. Did that mean she was an adult now? She might not have known the steps but she definitely understood that what happened yesterday should only be done between lovers.

She timidly nodded her head. “T-that- Yan ge, w-what now?” She made eye contact with Shen Yan, but she couldn’t hold her ground for a split second and immediately turned away, exposing her red ears and some hickies that roamed on her neck.

Shen Yan’s mouth dried when he saw the mess that he had made. Should he add another one?

The oblivious Mingyan was still in the process of calming her rapidly beating heart. Then she turned back to find the same face Shen Yan had made when he was drying her hair last night. She panicked and quickly asked. “W-What do we do with the wedding?” It was the only thing she could think of that might distract his thoughts.

Mingyan’s plan to divert Shen Yan’s attention from her tantalizing hickies worked. He smiled when he thought of the nearly finished wedding reception. Even Mingyan’s wedding dress was done. The only thing left was for them to walk the aisle and say their vows.

The eastern styled wedding was actually Mingyan’s parents’ decision. After much debate, they decided on a fantasy theme wedding befitting for their princess. Shen Yan had no complaints. As long as he was able to get the red book and keep it locked in a vault with all kinds of necessary gadgets to keep it safe, then he was satisfied with anything.

“Mother-in-law and Father-in-law have already arranged it.” Shen Yan smoothly changed his address on Mingyan’s parents.

Mingyan was stunned by the way he called her parents for a moment. So her parents already knew? Wait. Already arranged?! Mingyan was speechless. Yan gege aren’t you too confident? What would you have done if I had said no?!

“W-What about where we live?”

Shen Yan’s eyebrows rose. “If you want we can stay here. I also have a villa in the Pinewood Estates that we can move in to.”

Mingyan was speechless again.

Pinewood Estates… Does he have to be so domineering? Pinewood Estates was actually one of the expensive places for grand villas. The security there was also top notch. If she were to compare her house to the villas there then she could only call her house as a humble little home.

“L-let’s move there.” That’s Pinewood Estates! Mingyan would definitely not slight herself and stay at her “humble home.” Besides, the original Mingyan would think the same. It’s just that her reason was drastically different from hers. “I wouldn’t feel the change if we just stayed here…” Her voice softened by the end of her sentence.

Shen Yan’s heart was overflowing with sweetness. “Mn, we’ll move two days after our wedding.”

“That- W- when would that be?” Mingyan eagerly asked. Her excited expression made Shen Yan chuckle.

“Also two days from now.”

So fast?! Mingyan felt that she really couldn’t cope with her Yan gege’s pace anymore. She seemed to have remembered that she had just been proposed yesterday and now two days later she was walking the aisle?

Mingyan was in disbelief. She still hadn’t processed the news properly when two days had already passed, and she was sitting in front of a large mirror while getting her makeup done.

Behind her, Xiao Xi was sniffing as tears fell on her cheeks. “You’re really getting married?”

Mingyan was exasperated. “You don’t want me to?”

Xiao Xi wanted to say yes. She was also a diehard fan ah! Even though she knew about the relationship between Shen Yan and her goddess, she thought it might not work out in the end, because there were always hard twists in the community of prestigious families. “You’re still so young. You’re going to leave the music industry just like this?” She looked wronged.

Mingyan wanted to laugh at her cute manager, but it would have been OOC in her part. “You sound like my mom. I’m not leaving! It just means that I will have a limited time for work.”

At that, Xiao Xi’s devastated expression was finally brought back to life. She said she wasn’t leaving, and that was enough.

Mingyan’s make-up was done in natural tones, but some of them had glitter mixed. She looked like a fairy from a fantasy world.

When Mingyan saw her dress, she almost cried from being sentimental once again. It was a strapless off-white gown with a long bridal veil paired with white long gloves. It wasn’t her first time seeing such a beautiful dress. She had seen more beautiful ones in her previous worlds. But she found herself instantly falling in love with her wedding dress.

She was worried at the fit of the dress at first, but when she wore it, she realized she had been worried for nothing – it fit perfectly. How did Shen Yan get her three body measurements?!

She vowed to ask him later.

The wedding reception was already filled with guests. If a normal citizen were to have seen this crowd, one feared that they might have fainted as each and every one of them was an influential person that was involved in either China’s economy or the military. It was the grandest wedding of the century.

Mingyan emerged from two huge double doors, and her presence drew the sighs of admiration from many. It was as if a princess from a fantasy world came down to get married in the mortal world. She was not the most beautiful, but her aura was definitely not common.

She didn’t even glance at the others as her loving gaze was locked at the man of her dreams.

Shen Yan could feel his heart running a marathon. And each slow step that Mingyan took made his running heart leap. When she reached him, he took her arms from her unwilling father and led her to the front.

Mingyan could feel her unstable emotions erupting again, but this time, it was not of a negative reason. She was extremely happy. She never thought that walking down the aisle could be more than just a revenge, an arrange marriage, or a fake one. This time she was getting married to someone she truly loves.

Mingyan’s and Shen Yan’s vows weren’t “till death do us part.” It was “even death can’t keep us apart.”

In their hearts, they know they were both greedy. They didn’t want just one lifetime to be together but an infinity. Or until at least one of them cease to exist. So they poured their true emotions into this one vow and wished that someone, anyone with the power, could grant them this one selfish wish.
