After transmigrating into the cultivation world, the school topper was reborn - chapter 84
The monthly test was different from the previous tests. The monthly test was a year-round test. The test was the unit’s own and was not included in the annual ranking. The monthly test was included in the overall ranking with the full-year level. In addition to the individual rankings, there was an average grade-level overall ranking for each class.
Previously, the class 16 was last in the whole year, with the lowest average score. Except for the honourable classes and the normal classes, there was no one in the top 100 grades.
Not to mention the top 100, even the first two hundred, there was no shadow of Class 16.
Before the exam, Ms. Chen called Su Xingchen to the office and asked her, “How is studying at Mr. Zhao’s house? Can you keep up?”
Su Xingchen said, “Very good.”
“I also heard from teachers of various subjects that you have made great progress, but this month’s test is different from the last test. The test is a comprehensive question. You should not be too nervous, just do your normal level.
“Okay.”
“But you should review what you don’t know. Don’t be discouraged if you fail the exam. Work harder in the future.”
Su Xingchen nodded, “Okay.”
Teacher Chen looked at her obedient student. She really liked her more. She smiled, “Go back and call Cheng Kangyao.”
Su Xingchen returned to the class and said to Cheng Kangyao, “Ms. Chen is calling for you.”
Cheng Kangyao’s face was inexplicable, “Why?”
“I don’t know, probably giving you advice before the exam. You will know if you go.”
Cheng Kangyao received this treatment for the first time and came to Teacher Chen’s office.
Sure enough, Teacher Chen came to praise him, “I heard from teachers in the class that you have been very serious in class during this time and have performed well. Have you got a tutor at home?”
Cheng Kangyao didn’t know what Teacher Chen wanted to say, so he didn’t speak.
Teacher Chen smiled and patted his arm, “Go back, take a good exam. I believe you can do it.”
Cheng Kangyao returned to the class, and all the Shā mǎ tè gathered around and asked him, “Brother Kang, what did Teacher Chen tell you to do?”
Cheng Kangyao shook his head, “I don’t know. She told me to take a good exam and said that she believed I will do well in it.”
He shouted, “I don’t believe in myself!”
They all laughed.
Then it was Zhao Zhurun and He Ya turn.
Zhao Zhurun was calm as always, they couldn’t guess what the teacher told him.
He Ya kept her head down when she came back, and she was in a bad mood. They asked her what was wrong, but she didn’t say anything. She went back to the dormitory, turned off the lamp, hid in the bed, sobbed. The sleeping girl was startled.
The others also quickly got up and came over to ask her what was wrong. She kept crying and didn’t speak and she cried harder, and she cried even more. She snorted and asked them in a low voice, “Why … why my grades aren’t better than … they are better than them, and the teachers like them more … “
When the others in the bedroom heard, they knew who were ‘they’ and comforted her, “Who won’t like you. You are the best in our class.”
“Yeah, our class results are up to you and Director Zhao.”
“Did the class teacher say something to you? Don’t cry, do you still not understand Ms. Chen? She must have no other meaning, don’t cry.”
He Ya shook her head and cried for a while, she already felt better in her heart, “Ms. Chen didn’t say anything, just told me to take a good exam, don’t be nervous,” she whispered with tears on her cheeks.
“It’s okay. Because Su Xingchen progressed in the last test, she inevitably paid more attention to her. This test is the usual comprehensive level. You will be the first, don’t cry.”
“Yeah, she had such poor grades before, and suddenly she scored better, maybe she copied it.” Many girls who wanted to comfort her said, “Monthly exam supervision is much stricter, you could rest assured.”
“You must be number one, don’t worry.”

@Blood Covered Angel I personally agree that you shouldn’t insult someone else just to make another person feel better. But, in practice… I’m still confused. Is this rule only applied if that someone and the another person were of the same gender? Or could it only be applied to a non-romance conflict? I’d voiced it a few times when a couple were broken up and the girl/woman’s friends started talking sh*t about the ex even before they knew about how or why they’re broken up (or even when the wrong side was the girl). About one of two times, they said that it’s what a compassionate/emphatic friend should do. They said, no one would want to hear reason in that situation and doing that was the fastest way to let her move on.

Why are the girls here so problematic? I’m quite insulted.

I felt her. Back when I was at elementary, I saw TV shows that basically say that girls are meant to compete to each other and tear one another. Even though there’s a MTRCB warning, I still saw a part of it cause my family watches shows like that a lot. That environment really made me develop into a jealous girl and I even talked behind people’s back at that time with a smiling face when I see them being smarter than me, while pretending to be kind. Fortunately, I woke up because my conscience can’t handle it and felt bad about talking like that behind people’s back and learned to be a decent human being.

Seems to me like she’s just anxious of losing her place. Ms. Chen said before that she’s the type to do well when praised and crumple when neglected. People are so vindictive, ah. She hasn’t even done anything harmful (yet?)
Hopefully she comes around.

Ngl I feel bad for Heya but that’s not the way to go. Although it’s natural to compare our grades to others, our own greatness depends on ourselves. Sure, being in the top adds to our ego, but them failing or doing well has nothing to do with you. But she’s a child that already has low confidence, she is in the worst class and that’s the only place where she could do better than others, but suddenly even they started surpassing her. I get that she’d be upset, I just hope she doesn’t try harming them.

Don’t feel bad for her. He Ya wants people to pity her and she has a case of Main Character syndrome. She loves attention and definitely is prideful (in a way that she feels she is better than others), in another story she can be a white lotus.
One day she’ll learn.
Blood Covered Angel
You should not insult someone else just to make another person feel better. It might work for the short-term, but in the long-term, you will regret it. Seriously, these girls are setting themselves up for a slap in the face, and their roommate will be worse off in the end.

Exactly!!!!

Eh I feel a bit bad for her. She tried her best and someone is still suddenly better than her after not trying as hard. Can be depressing.

Ahh… I don’t like this He Ya girl. She seems like a white lotus who failed at her own white lotusness… she probably gets her self-satisfaction from being “the best” in her class and hates to see others’ progress, what crab mentality!
Dojsha Milim Argay
Probably a girl that is too sensitive, I have a classmate like that once, I was pissed at her for isolating a girl that I liked, so she probably saw my blazing glare when I sometimes see her.
she cries it about to the girl I like, and then they had a talk, became friends again.
And the girl that I liked got angry and shouted at me.
Poor me, I really underestimated how fickle a girl/women hearts are.
I really should have notice how she pushes me away and put all the blame when she told me how they isolated her and then get angry because I got angry at them and made them cry.
I should’ve have known the type of person she is, but naivety of youth really hit me on that relationship
