Curly felt that their Shā mǎ tè emperor was one step closer to being a good student. In this exam, Cheng Kangyao directly entered the top five of the class.
Top five! Except for Su Xingchen, when had they seen a Shā mǎ tè in the top five in the class?
Had they tried so hard to study this year? It made him a little embarrassed to see that. It seemed that he couldn’t keep up with the rhythm of the Shā mǎ tè.
So he also took out the language and read it with relish.
Later, the other Shā mǎ tès saw that they both were reading books aloud, and they both found it fun. So they picked up the books and read them aloud. So in the morning reading class of the whole class 16, the loud reading of the Shā mǎ tès sounded.
The good students in front of Class 16 all felt like they were in the wrong class.
In the next period of time, the teachers of Class 16 all liked to teach Su Xingchen. Often looking at Su Xingchen’s bright eyes, they couldn’t help but go deeper in the subject. Su Xingchen could understand everything. The key point was that with this deeper teaching, Zhao Zhurun was okay. He Ya had a hard time listening to it.
The teachers talked, and suddenly their reaction came. There were others in the class. They brought the topic back, and asked them, “Did you understand?”
Su Xingchen understood, He Ya frowned and bowed her head.
She didn’t understand it, but with her character she was unwilling to say it. She lowered her head and felt uncomfortable.
The teachers didn’t know, and when no one spoke, they thought they all understood.
Zhao Zhurun had a more stable character, and asked if he didn’t understand. His acceptance ability was better than He Ya. Sometimes the teachers got deeper, he also benefited a lot.
Almost all teachers had this problem in Class 16.
He Ya was very stressed.
Zheng Yan was originally a smart person, but he didn’t make much effort. During this time, the class atmosphere was good. He also worked hard, and his performance actually improved somewhat.
After several weekly exams, teachers paid special attention to Su Xingchen’s achievements, and wanted to see if she could maintain steady growth all the time, or she would regress.
The results surprised them.
There were also teachers who were very dumbfounded after the tests. The test papers for Su Xingchen and others were not the same. Well, for the tests, the teachers of the class supervised the exams themselves, so the test papers for the others in Class 16 were in line with the progress of Class 16. Yes, the test paper for Su Xingchen was the same as the regular class.
The test papers for each class were randomly given by the instructor, and were not uniform.
But Su Xingchen’s results were still very stable.
At this time, there were several regular class teachers who took Class 16 at the same time, and they already wanted Su Xingchen to go to their class. After the mid-term exam came out, if the scores were still stable, they mentioned it to Ms. Chen.
There were more than one person who had this idea and they were anxious. They were afraid that other class teachers would rob her.
Many came to her to ask about her marks. Others were even more curious.
Some thought that Su Xingchen hadn’t taken the exam well, and they didn’t pay much attention.
Originally, Ms. Chen was most concerned about Su Xingchen. But, after several tests, Zhao Zhurun and Zheng Yan had different grades. Even Cheng Kangyao passed in the top five but He Ya’s test scores were not as good as before.
In fact, Teacher Chen had been trying to calm He Ya’s emotions. From the time when her first grades fell, she had noticed that she was afraid to ask questions, so she encouraged her as usual.
The score in the second test dropped again. When she talked to He Ya, her tone was softer and she calmed her down. He Ya just cried, saying nothing. She cried and shook her head, “I miss home, I miss mom.”
She didn’t say anything
By the end of the third test and before the midterm exam, Teacher Chen found that He Ya’s grades were still declining, and immediately called He Ya’s parents, hoping that they could communicate with her and ask her why her grades had declined.
He Ya’s father didn’t know what happened, so he called He Ya. He Ya said the reason, “I don’t know what happened to the teachers lately. The pace was so fast that I couldn’t keep up.”
She couldn’t help crying in self-doubt, “Am I particularly stupid?”
He Ya’s father immediately called and asked Ms. Chen, “He Ya said that the teacher’s pace is too fast. What’s the matter with you teachers? Do you not consider the progress of the students during the class? You want the class to be so fast-paced, why not teach honourable class?”

I came here to laugh at you
Just looking at some of these comments makes me raise an eyebrow. It was Ms. Chen that called the dad? And then the dad called her after? He Ya only answered truthfully that the class tempo was going faster than usual and she didn’t know why. She got anxious again and was worried that she’s stupid when in reality, the speed-up is to accommodate XC because the teachers all want her to know more and think she needs to learn more. It’s the fault of the teachers and indirectly XC’s fault. This is the 16th class, the slowest paced one. You’re blaming a character for suffering some unreasonable shit that’s out of her control. “Yeah haha fuck this stupid asthmatic kid and her anxiety, it’s her fault for not being able to keep up at the slow-paced 16th class! haha go MC!” Bruh.

Sure, He Ya is pathetic but it’s partially MCs fault for sticking around. He Ya can’t deal with even regular tempo while they are teaching at a tempo meant for MC who who is be in honourable class.

She’s so pathetic. Like I get, I’m too nervous to ask questions too but I’d rather ask than have my parents start yelling at my teachers lmao

Honestly… He Ya is annoying. She’s to sensitive. The teacher has a whole class to teach. She can’t just babysit her. If she can’t keep up she can say something. But instead she cry’s to her dad and let her dad come and cause a scene. Just go to public school

Daughter with an inferiority complex and an overbearing father. If she was the main character of a Japanese light novel, everyone would have pampered her and she would be popular among readers who would also like her father.
Sadly she ended up as a Chinese web novel side character who exists to make our cool MC look better.
