Mrs. CEO's Husband - Chapter 4
Chapter 4: The Boy’s Discussion
“Nathan?” Patrick entered after knocking, Lorence in tow behind him.
“Yeah?” Jonathan replied as he got out of the bathroom.
“You just woke up?” Lorence asked as he observed the room uncertainly. The whole room was a mess; clothes were scattered everywhere and the bed was messed up with some suspicious fluid.
“Ah~” Jonathan lazily replied.
Patrick sniffed the air and furrowed his eyebrows. “Got a girl in here?” Jonathan stiffened and Patrick noticed so he began probing about “last night” mischievously.
‘Hah… this guy really has a good nose when it comes to this kind of thing,’ Jonathan commented to himself.
“No,” Jonathan almost immediately replied.
“It’s not a bad thing, so who was the lucky lady?” Lorence asked indifferently but there was a hint of curiosity
“Nobody,” Jonathan strongly denied.
Like someone who was struck by lightning, Patrick shouted, “Gosh, Nathan’s keeping someone!” Then looked at Lorence, shell-shocked.
“Pat, get your wits back,” Lorence warned.
“This is HUGE news!” Patrick stressed out and frustratingly put both of his hands on Jonathan’s shoulder.
“You shut up or I’ll kick you out of here,” Jonathan forcefully got out of his clutches and glared at Patrick.
“Hehehe, Brother Nathan~ don’t be harsh on this little one. I still have a bright future ahead, not to mention I am your dearest little friend!” Like a well-seasoned actor with countless experiences, Patrick was quick to change faces without batting an eye.
“Just shut up,” Jonathan replied in an annoyed tone, then went to put on some clothes.
Amused to this sight, Lorence teased, “Aiya, Nathan, don’t be so cruel. Just tell the truth.”
“I said no one.” Jonathan made an odd face while denying.
“Still telling lies.” Lorence clicked his tongue then looked at Patrick. “There’s obviously one, you’re simply hiding it…” Then Patrick received the signal Lorence was sending.
“Here.” Lorence showed the woman’s underwear. “See the evidence?” Patrick childishly pointed at Jonathan.
‘Tsk… I should’ve clean this room first,’ Jonathan regretted but it was too late now.
“Com’on Bro, what’s the trio for?” Patrick approached Jonathan but he evaded. “The media can merely say whatever they want.”
“That’s not the issue. The main point was you keeping a girl,” Lorence reminded him. “You say, but I won’t forget this issue, little brother.” Then sneakily snickered.
“Don’t change the topic,” Lorence simply said.
“We both know each other,” Jonathan said like it was a given.
Lorence still tried to probe further to get an answer.
“Yeah, we do. That’s why there was no one here. No one,” Jonathan stated while putting both his hands in the air, surrendering.
“Hai hai, I’m not gonna put this topic down unless you open your mouth.” Lorence nodded his head as if he understood something when there was nothing.
“Hahahaha, big brother, Renz is already probing.” Patrick glanced at Lorence. “Whooo’s the lucky lady?” Patrick asked and sat on the bed to get more comfortable for the long interrogation. Prompting him that they won’t go anywhere if he continued bluffing.
“I don’t know,” Jonathan almost whispered.
“What?!” Both Lorence and Patrick exclaimed like they couldn’t believe him.
“I don’t know her name,” Jonathan spoke in a louder voice than before, but it was still soft.
“Wait wait wait, you snuck out yesterday night just for a stranger?” Patrick asked, astonished.
“I didn’t sneak out. There’s no Miss Yu in there. Why should I stay at the party?” Jonathan retorted.
“Yeah, I get your point but…” Patrick was still not satisfied, Lorence finally asked the one million dollar question. “What happened?”
“Somebody tossed her here as a victim…” Jonathan went on and told the gist of the story.
Patrick looked like he finally understood something out of this conversation, “AH! The legendary drugged then have s*x cliché.”
“You watch too many dramas,” Jonathan helplessly pointed out.
“I just don’t watch, I also read and mind you I synchronize it with real psychology,” Patrick acted like a smart Alec, “and you’re the evidence.” He then pointed to his first subject, Jonathan.
“Not everything was accurate,” Jonathan indifferently said while finding a cup of water.
“Yeah, you’re not drugged.” Patrick went on with his own thoughts again.
Ha… he’s still a kid. Having been distracted by Jonathan’s nonchalant behavior, Lorence then continued asking, “And then?”
“At first,I thought I would be fine, but the woman was alluring and too tempting. In the end, we did it.” Jonathan smile turned dark as he remembered her. He then faced the two and demanded, “Let go of this topic.”
“No no no…” Patrick denied as he was shocked at every point Jonathan had revealed to them, waving his hand in a definitely-not-opposed gesture.
“You got attracted?” It was a major shock for Lorence too.
“Yep,” Jonathan confirmed with a no-big-deal face.
“It’s NOT yep… Bro, just how many times did you get ‘set’ up with a beautiful girl? It was either planned or accident. You have never once touched any of them,” Patrick listed to him.
“You know how worried Father was about you,” Lorence added.
“Just don’t bother with it,” Jonathan said as if pleading with the two.
“Acting cool like it’s not your problem,” murmured Patrick.
Unfortunately, heard by a certain someone, Jonathan stated with an as-a-matter-of-fact tone, “Yeah, the woman also said to not bother with it, why should I?”
Lorence then observed the red spot on the bedsheet and doubtfully asked Nathan, “Did the woman really say that?”
“Yeah, she even fled and left a note.” Jonathan handed out the note to Lorence.
Patrick sprinted over to Lorence’s side and they both read the note. “Woah,” they both exclaimed at the same time.
“This girl is tough,” Patrick commented. “How could she say that even though it’s her first time?”
Patrick couldn’t believe the attitude of this girl and how could she possibly fell into this plot. Lorence also felt lost in this current understanding. A normal thought process wouldn’t work into this kind of situation.
‘This is the kind of woman who can make Jonathan lose his mind?’ Both of them thought at the same time.
“I don’t know. If I desire it, I’ll search for her,” Jonathan dead panned. “But for now, I better settle that engagement,” Jonathan reminded both of them.
Lorence smiled and picked up the note. “Good. then I’ll-“
Before he even had the chance to finish his sentence, Jonathan snatched it back and stated, “No, it’s mine.”
“Hm-hm, okay, sure go ahead.” Lorence was secretly laughing at his younger brother. I wonder when he will comprehend this…
Patrick glanced at his watch and exclaimed, “Ah. We have to leave.” The other two just nodded and they left the room just like that.
*Click* A click sounded as the door closed.
