Crying While Filling the Pit I Dug - Chapter 99
“My God, she’s truly clever,” Han Chuan praised.
After the cat finished her breakfast, Han Chuan resumed his studies. He was currently in high school, facing the pressures of academic study. He was diligently utilizing his vacation time.
Song Miaomiao simply slept on the table, watching him do his homework.
At noon, after eating, Han Chuan and Shitou made plans to secretly swim in the river together, and Song Miaomiao tagged along once more. Midway, Han Chuan noticed that the kitten had followed them. Unable to send her back, he simply carried her into the water to swim.
Shitou remarked, “Are you the cat’s master, or is the cat your master? She’s so precious.”
Han Chuan replied, “You don’t understand how adorable Tiger is, and she’s very spiritual. I believe she can understand me.”
Shitou said, “Well, unless your cat has turned into a spirit.”
Han Chuan replied, “Her intelligence is a bit higher than ordinary cats. After this summer vacation, I want to bring Tiger back to my house and keep her with me.”
Song Miaomiao excitedly kissed his thumb while in his arms.
Han Chuan teased her with his thumb, moving it back and forth, and refusing to let her kiss. Song Miaomiao pressed her two thick cat paws firmly on his thumb to stop him, then kissed it again.
While chatting, the trio arrived at the river. Shitou was very familiar with the area, as it was his territory. They reached a large stone, stripped down to their underpants, and jumped into the river.
Song Miaomiao touched the river water with her paws.
Could cats swim?
She was a little curious. She had only heard of dogs swimming, not cats.
Just as she was pondering this, she slipped and fell into the river.
She splashed desperately in the water, but fortunately, Han Chuan quickly swam over and picked her up.
“Do you want to swim?” He asked.
Han Chuan removed Song Miaomiao’s cat collar, put her into the water, and said, “Kick your paws.”
Song Miaomiao listened to him and vigorously kicked her paws. With Han Chuan supporting her head and being by her side, there was no danger.
Just kicking like this, her body floated up lightly and moved forward a little.
Han Chuan said, “I’m letting go.”
Song Miaomiao: “Meow.”
Han Chuan released her, and Song Miaomiao swam with all four paws.
Shitou swam over from the other side. “Strange, this is the first time in my life I’ve seen a cat swim.”
Han Chuan said with a smile, “I told you she’s special, she’s smart.”
Shitou exclaimed, “It’s remarkable. Even if the old lady doesn’t believe it, I do.”
After swimming, Han Chuan hugged the wet Song Miaomiao and quietly slipped back home. Then, he found a hair dryer and began to blow-dry her fur.
The warm air from the dryer felt incredibly comforting to Song Miaomiao, and she couldn’t help but purr, “Meow.”
Han Chuan was very careful, ensuring that every strand of her fur was fluffy and soft.
He seemed quite satisfied with his work, continuing to stroke her head and back affectionately.
At some point, his grandpa returned. “Grandson, I caught a mouse! It’s alive!”
Could he have just left some room for the mice to survive?
Song Miaomiao: Please let me go! Spare the mouse! Let me go!!
The mousetrap had caught the leg of a little mouse, and it was chirping.
Han Chuan was in high spirits, eagerly anticipating, “Tiger, don’t you want to eat?”
Song Miaomiao: Indifferent Face.jpg.
She really didn’t understand why a high school student was so interested in feeding her a mouse. Were all boys really so naive?
Han Chuan said, “It’s because the mouse is trapped. Don’t you want to eat it? Do you want to play with it for a while and kill it before eating?”
Play it till death? This was really cruel!
Song Miaomiao: No! No! I won’t eat it even if I die!
Han Chuan thought his suggestion was reasonable, so he opened the mousetrap, and the mouse looked at the cat in front of him tremblingly.
Mouse: I was wrong! I will never peek at you again! I will never steal dog food from a cat and a person again!
“Eat it quickly!!” Urged Han Chuan.
Song Miaomiao remained indifferent.
Han Chuan poked the mouse again with a branch, “Are you sure you don’t want to eat it? It’s delicious.”
“It’s as if you’ve eaten it!” Song Mioamiao thought.
Han Chuan sighed, “Well, you probably really don’t like eating mice, different strokes for different cats.”
When the mouse heard this, it seemed to have been granted amnesty and ran away.
It was his responsibility to ensure the cat didn’t starve just because she didn’t like eating mice. Han Chuan washed his hands again and went to make dinner for Song Miaomiao.
Then he watched TV with Song Miaomiao in his arms. Han Chuan deliberately switched the TV channel to the Animal World on the Science and Education Channel. That episode happened to be about cats.
Song Miaomiao: “Meow.”
She didn’t want Han Chuan to watch Animal World and discover other cats’ habits, such as eating mice and preferring medium-rare meat (this was pure nonsense)…
She jumped onto the coffee table, patted the remote control with her paw, and switched to another channel broadcasting an ancient historical drama. The male lead was a dog demon…
Han Chuan mistakenly thought she wanted to play with the remote control, so he pulled out the batteries and gave her the remote control to play with.
Song Miaomiao held the remote control with her two paws, watching TV with gusto. Not to mention, the male lead was quite good, imitating the dog’s movements so vividly. Could he also be an animal?
Han Chuan couldn’t help but laugh when he saw Song Miaomiao holding the remote control and watching TV with such enthusiasm.
Before going to bed, Han Chuan assumed Song Miaomiao liked playing with the remote control, so he brought it into the bedroom for her to play with. However, she was more interested in him than the remote control!
So, she jumped onto the table again. Han Chuan was reading, and she was watching him!
Han Chuan gradually got used to her loving gaze, so he didn’t cover her eyes and focused on his English questions.
