Crying While Filling the Pit I Dug - Chapter 110
Han Chuan gently tugged on her paw once more, asking, “When will you change back? Become human again.”
Song Miaomiao was perplexed. “I don’t know. How can I change back to my original form after a kiss? And I have no idea when it might happen.”
“If you were to remain a cat, I’d keep you forever,” Han Chuan declared.
Song Miaomiao teased, “You’re quite the smooth talker.”
With a mischievous grin, Han Chuan suggested, “Would you like to find out just how sweet it is? Maybe another kiss will bring back your human form.”
Skeptical, Song Miaomiao replied, “First, wrap me in clothes. I’m afraid I’ll suddenly turn into a human with no clothes on.”
Thoughtfully, Han Chuan draped her clothes over her head, encasing her cat form, leaving only her head exposed. “Is this okay?” he asked.
Song Miaomiao propped herself up, Han Chuan wrapped his arms around her waist, and he pressed his lips gently against hers.
Disappointed, Song Miaomiao sighed, “I still didn’t change back.”
Laughing, Han Chuan remarked, “It’s my first time kissing a cat. Sounds a bit odd, doesn’t it?”
Weakly, Song Miaomiao admitted, “Actually, back in the countryside, I kissed you while you were sleeping.”
“What?” Han Chuan exclaimed.
Song Miaomiao fell silent.
Han Chuan said, “Okay, okay, that’s right. But why did you suddenly disappear that day? I mean, not long after I returned to the city, you didn’t come back one night, and then you kept meowing after returning home. I wanted to take you to the hospital, but you disappeared.”
Song Miaomiao explained, “At that time, I was going to take human form. I was afraid I’d scare you.”
Understanding, Han Chuan nodded. “Oh. Then is your brother Song Chaowang also a cat demon?”
Song Miaomiao shook her head, saying, “He’s also a demon, but not a cat demon. You’ll never guess his true form.”
Suspiciously, Han Chuan asked, “He’s so keen on mice, and his nickname is Shenmao, but he’s not a cat?”
Amused, Song Miaomiao smiled. She was also surprised by her brother’s unconventional nature. “Guess what kind of demon he is.”
After pondering for a moment, Han Chuan said, “Is he a snake demon? Snakes also eat mice.”
But Song Miaomiao shook her head again. “No, that’s not it.”
After thinking, Han Chuan tried again, “Owl?”
“No,” Song Miaomiao denied.
Han Chuan hugged her and whispered in her ear, “Madam, can you give me a hint?”
“A friendly reminder: my brother is also a cat,” Song Miaomiao responded.
Han Chuan laughed and said, “What kind of friendly reminder is that? It should be a love reminder. A cat… is he a tiger?”
Song Miaomiao replied, “You guessed it right.”
Han Chuan laughed and trembled with amusement. “He’s actually a tiger, hahaha. He really does have a unique taste. Could Tang Xin also be a tiger, then? They love to eat mice so much, they seem like a perfect match.”
Song Miaomiao corrected him, “Tang Xin is not a tiger; she’s human, just like you.”
Surprised, Han Chuan asked, “Then she and your brother… Are they similar to us?”
Song Miaomiao explained vaguely, “Almost. Tang Xin was his master in her previous life.”
“I see,” Han Chuan nodded in understanding.
Song Miaomiao continued, “She was the one who raised my brother as a cat. She found him and mistakenly thought he was a regular cat. So she raised him, putting him in the litter box with another cat. Eventually, he grew into a tiger.”
Amused, Han Chuan laughed as the two of them chatted about various topics. It wasn’t until the theme park closed that Han Chuan carried Song Miaomiao home in his arms and found a bag to store her clothes.
Upon returning home, Mother Han first complained about Han Chuan staying out so late, then, upon seeing Song Miaomiao, hugged her with concern. “Son, you brought Tiger back. Come, let me see. Did she suffer or get bullied while she was outside?”
Han Chuan reassured her, “No one bullied her.”
Mother Han lifted her chin. “Go and check if there’s anything in the refrigerator. Make something for Tiger.”
Puzzled, Han Chuan asked, “Mom, why don’t you ask me if I’m hungry?”
Mother Han teased, “Are you jealous of a cat?”
Han Chuan joked, “I’m afraid that my cat will get closer to you in the future and won’t be close to me anymore.”
Mother Han smiled and retorted, “Then, when you marry a wife in the future, are you also afraid that your wife will get close to your mother and not you?”
Han Chuan admitted, “To be honest, I’m a little scared.”
Mother Han pretended to scold him, and Han Chuan immediately begged for mercy, “Mom, I was wrong. I’ll fry an egg for the cat. Do you want one?”
Mother Han declined, “No need. Mom’s not hungry. After eating, go to bed early.”
Han Chuan fried the egg, brought the plate into the house, and fed it to Song Miaomiao bite by bite. Finally, after washing up, they settled Song Miaomiao beside the pillow and fell asleep together.
When he woke up the next day, Han Chuan was dumbfounded to find Song Miaomiao had transformed back into her human form, with long hair cascading over her snow-white shoulders as she lay beside him.
Trembling nervously, Han Chuan closed his eyes and covered Song Miaomiao with the quilt.
Just then, the sound of the doorknob being twisted echoed through the room as Mother Han asked, “Son, are you up yet?”
Han Chuan hurriedly jumped out of bed, barefoot, and blocked the door just as his mother pushed it open.
Outside, Mother Han knocked on the door. “Xiao Chuan, what’s the matter?”
Quick to think, Han Chuan responded, “Mom, I’m changing clothes.”
Mother Han urged, “Hurry up, you’ll be late.”
The commotion also woke Song Miaomiao. She opened her eyes and realized she had finally turned back into a human, though she was still naked. Quickly, she wrapped herself in a quilt.
Han Chuan locked the door. “Okay, I see, Mom.”
Mother Han reminded him, “Hurry up, I have to clean your room later.”
In a low voice, Song Miaomiao mouthed to Han Chuan, “What should I do?”
Han Chuan replied, “Wait until my parents leave before going out.”
Concerned, Song Miaomiao asked, “When will Uncle and Aunt go out?”
“They go to work at 9 o’clock,” Han Chuan informed her.
