Crying While Filling the Pit I Dug - Chapter 100
When it was time to sleep, he learned that she must be placed next to the pillow when sleeping. Song Miaomiao teased him with her tail, brushing his cheeks and neck with it.
“Okay, play with me!” Han Chuan said.
That’s right! Play with you! O(∩_∩)O~
Han Chuan said, “I’m here to play with you too, don’t run away!”
On a summer night, shirtless, he sat up and rubbed Song Miaomiao’s cat body.
After playing for a while, the commotion attracted his grandpa’s attention.
His grandpa’s expression was a little odd. “Grandson, what are you doing?”
“It’s nothing, just playing with the cat,” Han Chuan replied, still holding Song Miaomiao’s paw.
Grandpa looked around carefully, checking every corner of the room, ensuring there was nothing else.
“Go to bed early, Grandson,” he said before leaving.
Grandpa withdrew, closed the door behind him, and whispered to himself, “I was scared to death, I thought my grandson was playing goblin fight.”
The next day, Shitou took Han Chuan down to the river to fish again.
The Moyu area was a deep green pool, making Song Miaomiao feel a little uneasy on the shore. But as always, Han Chuan showed his heroism by plunging into the water and catching a fish.
After a long day’s work, Han Chuan and Shitou built a fire by the river, grilling fish in a hidden spot and drying their underwear in the process.
Song Miaomiao protested, “I didn’t see anything!”
The freshly grilled river fish, sprinkled with a little salt, emitted a mouthwatering aroma.
As usual, Han Chuan tasted the fish first, then set aside the meat and bones for Song Miaomiao before feeding her.
Shitou clicked his tongue in amusement. “Wow, won’t you treat your wife like this?”
Han Chuan retorted, “How do you know it won’t be that good?”
Shitou prodded, “Come on, Xiao Chuan, tell me, is there a girl you have a crush on?”
Han Chuan leaned back on the stone behind him, spread his feet apart, and looked up at the sky, with Song Miaomiao curled up on his stomach.
“Meow.”
He responded, “How could there be any girl? Didn’t I tell you when I came to Grandpa’s place on vacation before?”
The stone interrupted, “Yes, yes, you told me that you always have spring dreams, dreams of a girl.”
Han Chuan flushed, “No, no, I’m very pure.”
Shitou laughed, “You’re not pure, is that okay?”
Han Chuan just smiled and said nothing.
Shitou persisted, “You’re nearly eighteen years old. Have you ever seen her? I seriously doubt you’re making all of this up. How can anyone dream of a person they don’t know all the time?”
Han Chuan remained serious, “It’s true.”
Song Miaomiao paused, sensing the weight of the conversation.
Shitou continued, “Are you dreaming about her again? Haven’t you watched too many TV dramas and fairy tales? And in your dreams, she appears in both ancient and modern settings, like time-travel.”
Han Chuan sighed deeply, “I don’t know why, but ever since I was a child, I’ve been having these dreams once every ten days or so. Sometimes she’s dressed in coarse cloth, standing under a tree with a pot. Other times, I see her behind an ancient rockery, wearing traditional attire and playing shuttlecock. And sometimes, I dream that I’m an actor, and she’s a big star, and we act together.”
Shitou burst into laughter, “Hahaha, an actor! A big star!”
Tears filled Song Miaomiao’s cat eyes. So that was how it was. He was thinking about her all this time. She crawled along Han Chuan’s chest, hung her paws on his neck, and rubbed against him.
Shitou teased, “See, even your cat can’t stand it.”
Han Chuan hugged Song Miaomiao’s cat waist, “I’m not lying. If you don’t believe me, just forget it.”
…
Song Miaomiao’s affection for Han Chuan deepened upon hearing his words, and she became even more devoted to him, wanting to pour out all her love and make up for all the moments they had missed together.
…
Time flew by, and the holiday slipped away in the interactions between Han Chuan and Song Miaomiao.
After the break, Han Chuan informed his grandfather and took Song Miaomiao back to his home in the city.
Just as they arrived in P City by car, the voice of the system Oppa sounded once again:
[Second Task: Find and consume the elixir left by the ancient alchemists, and officially become a cat demon. Nature of the Second Task: The plot of the original novel that had been published. Bonus Points: 200 points.]
Song Miaomiao was thrilled at the prospect of finally becoming a demon!
“DemonxHuman” sounded perfect to her! She eagerly anticipated her transformation.
Han Chuan brought Song Miaomiao back to his home, where his room was cluttered with various robot toys and reference books. His mother, a beautiful woman, found Song Miaomiao cute and even gave her a ball of unused wool to play with.
In the middle of the night, with moonlight bathing the ground, Song Miaomiao kissed Han Chuan’s forehead and whispered, “Wait for me, I will be back.” (Meow, meow, meow, meow.)
Han Chuan fell into a drowsy sleep, subconsciously reaching out to comfort the cat next to his pillow.
She leaped out of the window onto the sill, casting one last glance back at him before disappearing into the night.
Her destination was a barren mountain in P City. She exchanged the coordinates of the elixir with the system Oppa. It was not difficult to find.
The difficult part was how to get from the city center to the barren hills.
Sure, she could run on four legs, but as a cat with human consciousness, she decided to hitch a ride.
She quietly hid on the roof of a taxi at night, changed to another car halfway, and finally arrived at the barren mountain.
Song Miaomiao climbed up the mountain and found the location of the elixir according to the coordinates.
But when she arrived at the location, she was dumbfounded.
What?
A huge boulder was pressing on the coordinate point of the pill.
This stone was at least one meter in diameter. Although it may not be considered huge to humans, she was a cat.
