After waking up I found love - chapter 65
Besides this, he said nothing and took her away silently.
After that, she didn’t remember that she had been to Ji Mansion again.
Then she went abroad for many years after.
Humans were emotional animals.
Ji Cheng didn’t wait for them in the study room but tended the flowers and plants in the nursery.
Lin Jingwei looked at this flower room and felt warm because her father had always liked flowers. He once even said that he was not suitable for business and was more suitable to be a gardener.
The sight of Ji Cheng wearing gloves and earnestly changing the soil in the flower pot made Lin Jingwei remember her father.
Ji Cheng watched them arrive. He beckoned Ji Pinchuan to help him move the flowerpot.
Lin Jingwei was wearing a dress, which was inconvenient for gardening, but she came to help him regardless of her identity and clothes.
Ji Cheng took off his gloves, “I heard that you did well in that competition?”
Ji Pinchuan said, “Yes.”
Lin Jingwei added, “We did not expect to give such a good performance, but this competition was just an opportunity. Our ultimate goal was to place orders for the company and the director also agreed to give a chance to Taimei toys in Wall Bull..”
After hearing her, Ji Cheng nodded and asked his son, “I heard that you two are dating.”
Ji Pinchuan was silent.
Judging from his father’s face, this was definitely not just a speculation or a coincidence. His father had learned such information from observing his every move, such as Lin Jingwei spending the night at his house last night. So his father had been monitoring him..
Lin Jingwei was not used to the mentality warfare between father and son in a family like his. She panicked at first. It was not a good thing to get together with a chaebol. In addition, she didn’t have anything to do with him, it was just something she planned to win the dance competition!
Who was so lacking in morality! It was just a play she acted temporarily in the morning. Why did it spread so quickly and so far!
“No chairman! We, we are not …”
Mrs. Ji appeared in the nursery, and said in a cold voice, “Pinchuan, why did you bring this woman home?”
She knew that her son had returned to talk to her husband. But she could not find the father and son in the study room. So she hurried over but saw Lin jingwei, whose sight she could not bear in her eyes.
No matter how stupid Lin Jingwei was, she knew that Madam Ji was looking down at her—most of it was caused by the scandal.
So she was more anxious to clear the misunderstandings, “Mrs. Ji, I am not …”
Mrs. Ji said coldly, “Would you please shut up? Our Ji family doesn’t welcome any casual girls like you.”
Lin Jingwei always saw Madam Ji as a decent lady. She had once given her shoulder to cry on when she was at her grave. Why did she now have a scornful look while looking at her?
The so-called noble lady had such a skill. It was a clear difference between what it appeared on the surface and what was actually true.
She flinched, still trying to save her image. A little stuttered she said, “I, I am not an easy woman …”
Ji Pinchuan, who had been silent at this time, held her and pulled her to his side. This posture of a man protecting his woman was quite obvious.
He said to his mother, “I brought her here, and she isn’t any casual woman, she is my … girlfriend.”
Lin Jingwei wanted to add something, but Ji Pinchuan warned her with his eyes.
Mrs. Ji couldn’t remain calm at that time, and said sharply, “Pinchuan, you child! What’s wrong with you? When a good woman like Tang Yan was about to marry you, you fled from the marriage, and now in a few days, you found another woman. Look at her! How does she meet the standards of being your wife?”
Ji Pinchuan said, “Mom, only we are aware of the things between us two. You may not know of it.”
Mrs. Ji was anxious and rushed to her husband for help, “We called Pinchuan to reason with him. Now that he is like this, you can’t let go of this matter anymore!”
Ji Cheng was calm, and he packed his gardening tools, and said, “Let’s go to the living room to talk.”
Ji Pinchuan said, “No. Dad, if you and mom called me back this time to stop me and Xiao Jing, then there is nothing to talk about. I know what I want.” He hugged Lin Jingwei’s shoulders and pulled her to his side.
She was stunned, and he announced, “This is the woman I love. She did not grow up in accordance with Ji’s daughter-in-law’s standards but I just like the way she is. Nothing you say will change that.”
Seeing her husband still refusing to react, Mrs. Ji no longer played weak, she simply said, “How do you know what you want? You know nothing! You are just a spoiled child. You got everything you needed. So you don’t know the pain of losing something. Now, you still have a chance, you have a future, so you don’t have to know the fear. If you are really going to be with this woman, one day in the future, you will regret everything you did and regret what you’ve missed! “
Ji Pinchuan said, “I would rather hope that I regret something that I had done, rather than something which I haven’t done.”

sinkingship
I don’t get it. Are we supposed to hate this male lead?
He’s (self-admittedly) cowardly and indecisive (to the point that he literally left his bride-to-be alone on the altar on their wedding day), he treats the MC like garbage (as cold CEO types are wont to do in these kinds of stories – but even after he falls from grace and loses his status he still acts like a prince), and then today he goes out of his way to drag the MC into the middle of his family crisis (which she has nothing to do with AT ALL) and makes her a lightning rod for his parents hate – knowing full well that she has no ability at all to defend herself from their backlash…
On top of that half of his thoughts are always alternating between how much he dislikes MC and how much he will never ever take responsibility for his own actions ESPECIALLY if a woman is involved.
Where did the author find this male lead? Dug him out of the garbage? Because he’s trash.
That said, I’m still reading in the hopes that he improves so I dunno haha
Thanks for translating~

Hahahah! Well put! I wholeheartedly agree. I keep feeling something is off with this male lead and wasn’t giving it too much thought but really, everything you’ve stated are the cold truths. The male lead is a bit too silkpants, hence why I hope for a female love interest for MC or maybe the friend… This novel feels like the type a person might read then suddenly find they died in their sleep and suddenly transmigrated to become the villainess Tang Wan. It’s that kind of feeling hahahaha a plot device for another novel. Still, I guess I can put up with an imperfect male lead in a 75 chapter novel.
